Mileena is looking better & better everytime I see her.
I don't mind about her showing her face, or maybe Stryker just caught her off guard. Either way it looks like the new MK characters are embracing who they really are.
Mileena combos look sick! Really can't wait to play her
I would love to see Skarlett as a hidden character, well after Sareena at least
Sonya's ring toss look very impressive.
Stryker being voiced by Chris Redfield's VA, now I'm interested. It must be a proud day for MINION

I'm not sure if this was pointed out yet, but when Mileena starts hitting Sektor, the sound-effects are much more mechanical than the standard body-punching sounds the rest of the characters produce. I don't remember it being like that before, so it's nice to notice these tiny tweaks and improvements.

Overly looooong combos, amateurish looking story mode. Yawn.

I haven't noticed anyone mention this, but did anyone notice how Mileena slid forward and pushed Scorpion back to perform her X-Ray? It was more powerful the way she moved to do it than the other x-rays seen, though the x-ray itself looked weak. Still, her trail of shadows, following into her x-ray move was cool :)

Sick ass combos! I can't believe I'm becoming a Mileena fan. Never cared for her up until this game. She is becoming a favorite of mine for sure.
She's very fast and moves all over the screen like in MK2. I remember hating every time I had to fight the A.I. Mileena: throw, throw, sai throw, throw... argh.

Gameplay wise, I love what they've done with Mileena! Is anyone familiar with Ayame from the Tenchu games? I wish the female ninjas looked more like her rather than playmates.

Nah, I gotta keep the space open for something else. I've been working on something for weeks now, and I can't believe it's taken as long as it has. Hopefully next week I can finally get this shit launched.
-This is the first time I've wondered to myself if some of these characters aren't going feel like I'm playing MVC. These combos are terrifying. If there's a combo challenge mode in this game, I might just have to be afraid of it.
-Another quick view of The Street behind her. Looks like a small earthquake hit it. Maybe Earthrealm really does get good and screwed up as part of the merger this time.
-Stryker sounds amazing still!
-Anticipatory squealing and paranoid conspiracy theories from me about Skarlett over in her current thread.

Keep Mileena's mask on. I am very disappointed and annoyed that she just took her mask off. The mask is Mileena. We all know she has those teeth, but it completely ruins her character if she just casually takes her mask off. Its the same kinda thing like in MKSM when they said Kitana was "under a spell" it just cheapens the whole thing. Keep Mileena's mask on, its cool if she takes it off for fatalities though, but only if they involve her teeth/mouth.

Mileena isn't the mask, she's the teeth, and always has been. I'm in favor of her losing the mask all together.

You're both right. Mileena is the mask AND the teeth. The mask hides the secret, and lures her victims in to the trap, and then she peels it back and the trap is sprung. The mask conceals her deformity but the teeth define her. She uses the mask and the teeth in equal measures.

Her combos were fucking awesome, Her VO....not so much. I want decent VOs for all the characters, not, just Johnny Cage and apparently Stryker....

I wish the city weren't in ruins like that.
Stages like "The Bridge", "The Bank", "The Rooftop", and especially "The Street" were awesome because of how eerie they were. An entire city left essentially intact but completely desolate. The only place with apparently any life in it is Shao Kahn's tower overlooking everything in the background. I think that's more intense than generic post-apocalyptic rubble.
When it looks like the city should be full of life (as in it's been pretty much entirely preserved) but is actually completely empty, it really emphasizes the isolation the chosen warriors have to deal with.

Ehhh. The most visual damage we really got last time were a few distant fires in the background, and a temple in the middle of Chicago. Always felt the game was sorely lacking in that department.
The new deadpool music in the background sounds awesome!
Digging the new video. Is that the street / bridge bacground? Looking a lot like the Metropolis arena from MK vs DCU.
Speaking of which - sigh.....looks like story mode is just going to be a repetition of MK vs DCU...

Would've made a nice contrast if we had the fortune of a sequel in which, just to mix things up, Outworld wins. I guess it makes sense that maybe the heroes made humanity's last stand in some of the lesser effected areas. I think the game(s) implied a bit more devastation than we actually got to see in those stages. A 'destruction in progress.'
At a lazy glance, the clip's background reminded me of Metropolis in MKvsDC, or whatever the partly destroyed urban area was. MK City's looking quite bright (which itself is maybe nice, for something different).
One or two eerie, empty stages is fine, but if Kahn's supposed to be actually stealing the soul of every person on Earth in one fell swoop, there should really be more happening; vehicles of all manner overturned or in crashed ruins, the odd aircraft falling out of the sky, equipment malfunctioning and overheating, etc.
Mind, the blowing wind on the street was a great touch. The Bank though, I always hated. Felt it crossed the line from creepy into boring.
Always said it'd be nice if we actually got some wildlife roaming around in the background, or carrion, or what have you (Hey, if there are packs of wild dogs actually roaming around the outskirts of Detroit, as I've heard, it ain't that far-fetched).
