Well, my dreams of finally seeing some awesome Sonya+Johnny romance/love references might finally be coming true.

I'm so excited to see what they've prepared for both characters in this game. Judging by the recent trailer ("and I'm taking you out!...to dinner.") I won't be disappointed

Sure, we got a few hints here and there in the canon of the other games (Johnny's ending in MKDA, the official MK4 comic book, something else I don't remember...) and some plain obvious moments in the films and Malibu comics, but that was not enough.

I've been one of the many who have asked for this since forever:

LOL, some of those look like threesomes.

1) Jax and Sonya doesn't work out because their relationship as "best friends" is already perfect. They really played this brilliantly in MKvsDC. I expect both to have a sweet relationship as best friends, no more. Also, there's the fact that Johnny is the best option as Sonya's hilarious love interest. So much potential.

2) That's been done, but, never really exploited that well. Hopefully it will look good this time around.

3) That was a rumor, but, considering Mileena happily tried to kill him in MKD, I doubt this couple ever was.

4) No way. Stryker + Rain though....hmmm.

5) Why? It doesn't really make sense. Also, I doubt Scorpion needs a lover. His dead wife is all there was and all there is for him.

6) No Ermac. Makes no sense (unless he is secretly blowing Shao Kahn). Sindel and Kahn's relationship should be developed. But, lets not forget she's been resurrected and brainwashed.

7) Its been hinted, but, its not really a romance. Its more like a "let nature take its course" kind of thing. Animalistic.

8) Jade + Kung :ao? That could actually work, but, it sounds like a cliche and repetitive considering Liu already has Kitana. Nah, Kung Lao doesn't need a couple. Jade can do with someone else (should have been Kitana).

The slashes mean "or." Tanya/Scorpion IMO suit each other cuz they are both dark and kinda evil. They have so many similarities too. Yellow, No eyes(MKD TANYA), neutral(?), etc. Idk, but they sound perfect. A good twist would be that Tanya is his wife, but she is sorta evil and dead like him.

well actually it would make alot of sense if ermac and sindel ended up together, because in his ending it states that the main sole in ermac is

The Liu/Kitana thing isn't canon.
It was mentioned in the movies, and it had the *chance* to happen at the end of MK4, but didn't. In the canon timeline, Kitana has had no known lovers.

I'd like to see Rain and Kitana before Kitana learns her origins.
That's *also* non-canon from other sources, but I much prefer that to boring-ass Liu Kang.

Then I'd like to see Rain and Tanya, *after* Rain and Kitana are history.
It would give Kitana some extra beef with Tanya and Rain
I also wouldn't mind if Kitana wound up with Taven in the end. MK's most beautiful woman deserves the most handsome man
