Anyways, I'm perfectly happy with Johnny/Sonya, and Liu/Kitana, and maybe Sub/Sareena. That's about it.

I enjoy Kitana/Liu Kang and Sonya/Johnny for sure. Johnny and Sonya are just epic together, so they're a given (not to mention one of my long time favorites).

Sareena/Sub-Zero is also pretty cool. I'd love to see more of them, as they also have potential.

Mileena/Scorpion is great as a parody pairing. Definitely one-sided, but funny.

Kenshi/Li Mei has also struck my interest. I find them to be the most adorable damned pairing ever. <3

Smoke/Jade interests me a little bit as well.

And then there's Kung Lao, who I pair with several people. LOL, if I listed them all I might disturb people greatly. XD

Always liked Cage and Sonya, if only because the banter between them is both charming and hysterical.

I always felt Sareena and Sub-Zero had a very "unique" relationship, one of mutual trust and respect, but still a bit "frosty" and kept at arm's length due to circumstances and the fact that Sareena could potentially turn into a raving, powerful, uncontrollable demon if she lost her concentration, but they still obviously had a lot of faith and care for one another.

I never really liked Liu Kang and Kitana. I mean, I can see a physical attraction (she's a beautiful princess, he's a handsome monk), but it still feels like cradle-robbing on Kitana's part. She's 10,000 years old; she's had to have met and made her bed with a variety of handsome, strong, noble warriors... that is unless her daddy had a tight curfew and all her boyfriends mysterious disappeared around the acid bath for some reason...

I always enjoyed the notion of Sheeva getting a crush on Johnny Cage. Like, in Shokan society, females are attracted to power and the alpha males, and if Cage defeated Goro, then Sheeva would see Cage as the new "alpha male". Cage, the guy who loves attention and attracting women, would suddenly have a fan he may not necessarily want... but, again, that's only for the comedy potential.
