I can't be a fan of BOTH?
I happen to be a major fighting game fan. I own, and continue to play: Street Fighter II, Street Fighter III, Street Fighter IV, Tekken 1, Tekken 2, Tekken 3, Tekken 4, Tekken 5, Tekken 6, Tekken Tag, Soul Blade, Soul Calibur II, Soul Calibur III, Soul Calibur IV, Blazblue: Continuum Shift, every single Mortal Kombat (sans MK vs DC and the spin-offs), Fatal Fury, Bloody Roar 1, 2, and Primal Fury, Virtua Fighter 4 and 5, Dead or Alive 1, 2, 3, and IV, Guilty Gear, Marvel vs. Capcom 1 & 2, Street Fighter vs. X-men, Darkstalkers, Battle Arena Toshinden, Samurai Shodown, Super Smash Bros. and Melee.
Hell, I've even played Ballz, Clayfighters, War Gods, and Ergheiz.
And considering Mortal Kombat is a fighting game, and I'm a big fan of fighting games, I still very much enjoy Mortal Kombat, and in many cases I vastly prefer it's strong mythos, surplus of content, memorable moves and characters, and ever-surprising and evolving styles of gameplay and features, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. No other fighting game has kept my interest so consistently, and even when I don't like certain Mortal Kombat games, it's often because they at least tried something new that didn't work as opposed to never evolving at all and growing stagnant.

What about eternal champions?!
As a fan of both Tekken (hence my signature) and Mortal Kombat (hence me being here), you guys need to stop getting so worked up over fighting games that aren't Mortal Kombat and start expanding your gaming library both mentally and literally.
There are plenty of good fighters out there, and Tekken happens to be one of those. The genre doesn't revolve around Mortal Kombat... don't be afraid to play new things.
As far as these reviews go; while they're great scores they're not exactly credible. I'll wait for some reviews from GT, Gamespot, IGN, Metacritic, etc... not from these random people who have downloaded or found the game early because they couldn't wait an extra 3 days.

I don't listen to critics because I prefer not to let people I don't even know dictate my life in any way.

@ Bezou no just no... I am a huge fan of fighting games played all of the SF to date and just adore them. MVC3 was fucking amazing I found it alot of fun but it got old FAST. Now this new MK I can't even express how I feel about this game. Its the game of my dreams to be honest and I can't wait to finally play it they did everything right with this game and can't wait to practice pratice with reptile :)

Loved these games... I've been wishing a long time that Sega would put out a new EC game. Or at least give up the rights to someone who would. *shrugs* Not holding my breath though.

8/10 from the OXM
The summary at the end is pretty rage inducing given the score. It appears he docked 2 whole points because...well...go ahead and view it

That review is a joke.
Look at the top where the score is shown...
Developer unknown
Genre unknown
EPIC FAIL.

Did everyone forget Boon told everyone not to review the game until release date? (likely due to the patch)

Whoever gave the game an 8/10 is a fucking moron. Bad interface is worth 20 percent of a game's score?! Seriously?!

What do they mean by interface exactly? My computer/tech knowledge is pretty crappy.
