Let see: Quan Chi's alternate costume sucks, Scorpion's alternate costume is weird, that little bitch Tundra stole Classic Sub-Zero's spot and got TWO spots, Sareena not in the game, certain parts/events of the timeline changed with out provocation or attempts to change them, Sektor's robot face just looks stupid, Sindel killing most of the heros (how the hell did she kill Cyborg Sub-Zero? All she did was kick him and it wasn't a great one either). And Shang Tsung! That jackass always morphs at the end of the fight or gets a lucky shot when I'm trying to fight Klassic Jade. And don't get me started on those tilt the world fights in the challenge tower, worst idea since MK:Special Forces, even Annihilation has more redeemability than those tilt challenges. Also I find the Partial Nudity under the M to be misleading but that's probably due to the small crappy TV I'm using since my other one went out. Another problem I noticed in story mode, is Kahn lags at "Today, I become the ElderGod!" Sindel didn't seem as attractive as she used to be in previous games. And something seemed off about Reptile...I've got more but I'll save it for later...

What I hate is when you fight somebody, they use the same move over and over again, win and then rematch, and then you win and you quit cause you feel somewhat satisfied that you beat his noob ass and he messages you saying 1-1 doesn't mean anything punkass and you fight him again and win and then he blocks you. Bitches like that deserve to get hit physically right in the balls.

I cannot believe that Jade and Kitana have 2 sets of Klassic skins, when some of the others went without entirely. Smoke could have gone without the retro look, and be made into his cyborg. But, I would have wanted them to implement the chest trident, and that seems to be wishful thinking at best. With Mileena's "Nearly Nude" skin a tough item to obtain, she could have been given a new suit. And then there's Scorpion's Alternate outfit from Deadly Alliance. Now THERE"S a cool outfit. But, doing those seems to make sense, so I am sure they will remain hopes, not reality.

Yeah, I definitely wish they would have picked characters other than Jade and Kitana for new costumes. I don't particularly care for their MK2 look, and they already have the MK3 Klassic costumes.

I'm not gonna complain, and I don't feel the costumes are a bad idea... I just wish they would have come later and other characters gotten more costumes first. Several characters have 3+ costumes while some have only 1 (Cyber Sub, Skarlet, and Kenshi).

And speaking of Skarlet and Kenshi... The DLC characters should come complete with 1 alternate costume and have a spot in the Necropolis. Without these things they aren't a complete character. Especially for characters paid for in addition to the game...

Oh, and one of my biggest complaints; When playing Tag team online with a friend (2 on one xbox), your still given a loss if you are dead at the end of the match, even if YOUR team wins. This really irks me. Many, many, times have I destroyed a team the 1st round, gotten the team down to 1 or 2 hits to death the 2nd round, get killed, and then my teammate comes out and lands the killing blow. AND I STILL GET A LOSS!! That's seriously fucked up and I don't understand why it was ever made to work that way... Please NRS, this should be fixed as soon as it can be.

I FUCKING LOVE THIS GAME. It is definitely my favorite fighting game (and game period, at this time) ever! I know people have a lot of complaints, despite how awesome this game is, and some people are real douchebags when they make their suggestions, but we all just want to make this game better and better! Thank you, NRS, for this amazing game! And please continue to improve it!

Yes! I too love this game. I agree with the absence of a place in the Necropolis. The DLC fighters do not feel complete without it. There is no way to see their damage, watch their ending, etc. A Cyber Sub-Zero alternate skin of his "CyberKhan" suit would look sick to play as, along with a Cyber Reptile. OOOooooooooo! I quiver!

Good job, I fork over 5 bucks for Rain to NRS and I'm not allowed to be rewarded with a character i PAID for BECAUSE some idiots on the game did NOT download the comp. Pack #3. Why should I have to suffer cause some dumbass (excuse my language) did not download some FREE costume pack. Not to mention, noone plays jade, kitana or the female characters that much so why would they download those costumes.
If you made a cyber reptile costume or new scorpion costume or new MK3 subzero costume... maybe more people would download the damn comp pack.

Whats worse though is that the comp pack is not MANDATORY..... This is the DUMBEST thing in video game history that I have ever seen. I rather buy E.T for the atari again and that would be smarter then NRS's decision to make comp pack and patchs OPTIONAL.

Sure enough noone listened.... and bam I got w win streak of 75 with kano. Then I started holding up king of the hill rooms by now pressing the start button to launch the game.

Watch out for me in King of the hill rooms. If I don't get to use rain, the game freezes. I will be freezing all king of the hill rooms throughout every server until I get rain or my 5 bucks back.

I've seen rooms titled with the names of the DLC characters to basically let people know that only that character would be used in the room. Try looking for one or creating your OWN room instead of ruining other peoples fun.

Tiny complaint. It's more of a continuity error. If they only changed Sub zero's physical being, but kept his soul into that new body... Why was he still a robot in the netherrealm. He has his soul which is of Sub Zero. NOT a robot. He should appear as the ninja that we all know and love, he only got a new skin. He is still... HIM!

Well continuity wise, they either need one hell of an excuse to revive all the dead Earthrealm fighters or they're stuck with Mokap, Kai, Fujin and most of the MK4 and beyond characters (not a good thing). Are Cage (terrible tattoo) and Sonya (who would go on a Special Forces mission dressed like that?) gonna highlight the Earthrealm warriors next game?

Yeah back to Sonya - look, I know we all love digitized poon, but really? Sonya, Kitana, Jade & Milena are basically naked and "basically" is being kind. No such thing as a bra in MK world either huh? They just stay up themselves. Hot damn.

Also, the lack of development of the other realms beyond Earthrealm, Outworld and Neatherrealm is problematic imo. Chaosrealm and Orderrealm (let alone the unnamed realms Boon has hinted at) could definitely have partaken in defending Earthrealm and maintaining the existing realm structure. However, they just haven't been developed beyond MK:D and are cast aside.

The only way to beat Kahn with Raiden in the last battle of the story mode is to be cheap as a motherfucker.

Still - one of the best MK games.

My rant has nothing to do about the game, but more about the community butt hurt over the Freddy Krueger DLC announcement. Time to break it down because the ignorance and lack of common sense is pissing me off.

And a big LOL to the people who swore it was going to be a female character when the silhouette was clearly a male. Even when the Press Release about the revealing of the 4th character said it was a "he", you people still choose to ignore it.

You people should had also knew that the chances of Freddy (or Jason) making in the roster was highly, or did you forget about the Freddy and Jason DLC rumor that was so big that it was hard to be unaware of? Regardless of the incorrect date (it was supposed to be October), the thought of one of those character should had been in your head. I on the other hand never had a doubt.

At first, I was going to make a rant about Freddy (don't worry, I have logical reasons >.>) but, now, I'm starting to warm up to him. Yes, the concept of guest characters is pretty stupid, but Mortal Kombat was ALWAYS a pretty stupid series; that's how it came to be. I'm not going to buy him( I didn't buy ANY DLC for this game; it's a waste of money to me) and Iguess I'll get the compatibility pack, since it has MK3 Sub-Zero in it. FUCK YEAH :]

Overall, the biggest rant that I have isn't toward NRS for having guest characters or planned DLC; it's toward this industry as a whole. I hate the way nearly every company makes shitloads of DLC that they could've just put in the game instead of holding onto it and releasing it a few months later, trying to nickel-and-dime its buyers. Yes, we all have the option whether or not to buy it, but, still, I find it pretty damn annoying.

There's my rant. Also, Story Mode fucking sucked after the MK1 arc. :)

I'm probably the only person here who thinks this, but i REALLY hate the xrays. Honestly. I think they're bullshit. To me it's kind of like cheating. I like the fact that you can use a bar or two for a special enhanced move, but seriously people will just block for like, 5 minutes while you hit them and then their bar goes up, and they do an xray. It's stupid and it's the easy, cheap way to win a fight. Ridiculous. GRINDS MY GEARS hahaha

Wow!!! a site with an actual sticky on rants? I'm in heaven. I just came over from Gamespot for that very reason. You couldn't rant about anything without getting bashed or modded. I try not to get nasty, but I am outspoken if I have a problem with something. Here's my complaints:

1. I would really like if people pick some different characters once in a while. I don't care if I win or loose, I just like variety. My main 4 that I've been running into lately is Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Ermac, and Kung Lao. It just gets to me that I paid $60 for this game, and I can't fight some different characters more often.

2. Why in the world don't they have a Test Your Luck option online? It would get rid of a lot of the "Spam" in the game.

3. Speaking online are they going to make another patch? because the constant dropped matches tend to get a little annoying at times.

4. Hatemail. I usually just delete it and it doesn't bother me too much, but it gets a little tedious having to delete that stuff all the time. They should have an option to make your mail private.

5. Training Mode really needs to be improved. I don't know why you can't save your settings? Also you should have an option to put certain moves/combos that you're working on right on the screen so you don't have to keep pausing. And the Fatality tutorial should let you do Stage Fatalities.


Other than that, I have no complaints. The game can get aggravating at times, but I've been a fan from the beginning. Despite it's faults, I love this game.

Why the hell did Freddy take his place?

There is no excuse as to why the bomb trap should still be present in Cyrax's klassic costume.

I just played a guy who's record was approximately 3000+/200. He played normal for the first round, but did the trap in the 2nd. I left as he did it. I don't care about the disconnect or whatever. I never quit when I'm losing to anyone, spam or otherwise, but I will quit if someone is deliberately exploiting an already-fixed problem that happened to become relevant again. He knew he what he was doing too, I messaged him saying 'there was a reason that was patched' and he replied 'tell ed boon not me'.

This goes out to all the Sub-Zero users out there. USE SOME OTHER MOVES FOR A CHANGE!!!! All they do is Ice clone, freeze, slide, triangle, triangle, triangle, freeze, then repeat until they get you in a corner then they just trap and combo you in the corner and there isn't squat you can do about it. Subby really needs to be nerfed. And EVERY Sub-Zero user I've faced uses this method. It's starting to get on my nerves more than Scorpions helfire, spear, square square, square combo.
