Mortal Kombat 8 will be a reboot and tell the story of MK 1-3 (i think)

That would either mean the document is fake, unless (again) you believe the story and cast of MK8 were finalized in spring 2009.
I don't mean to antagonize anyone. If you share the above sentiments, I'll happily agree to disagree, but I must ask: do you really believe the story/cast was finalized in May 2009? I mean, if they were willing to codename a project that was hardly greenlighted, don't you think they'd do the same for their headline project? "Mortal Kombat 9 Video Game" has n00b written all over it.

He worked at midway in 2006-2007...so the game was cancelled within that frame.

Some ( if not all ) voice overs were done last year around spring. Quote from Sonyas voice actress:
"In September — right before I left for Paris & the South of France — I reprised my role as Sonya Blade for Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s next installment of the MORTAL KOMBAT videogame."
They site that put up this Ad for MK9 ( http://supererogatory.tumblr.com/ ) looks pretty legit, they put up all kinds of job offers related to video games.

OP ---> Where did you get those hints about the characters? Is that a fake or it's confirmed?

If the ad is still up in the website's archives, then this is a substantial point, though I would need to see a link.
But the Sonya thing doesn't really support a case for authenticity, being that work was done in September, and this audition was advertised in May.

what does any of that voice over stuff have to do with the thread? that is a few characters...not the whole roster. even if it were true. just because it has those characters does not mean anything. they could just be returning for a sequel. besides...if you want to be technical. MK 1-3 basically means trilogy is part of 3 so that means a whole slew of characters may be possible if it were a reboot in that era. where is the rest of the voice over cast if this is legit...that is what i would be thinking about on that topic.

Point is, Its all around Spring 09, wich you thought was impossible. A 3 month gap aint much. I dont think they recorded all of the characters at the same time.
I guess well know very soon, once they start announcing some characters.

Impossible was a bit strong, yes. I still doubt the story/cast was finalized in May 2009, which would be necessary for this document to be legit. And true, they wouldn't have to audition all the characters at the same time, but why wouldn't they? It's not damning, but it's certainly suspicious.
If there's one point in favor of this document, it's that Boon stated in an interview for MKD that the cast is chosen prior to writing the story. That might alter the likelihood, but my money still goes on false.

So it would seem.
The MK team has yet to encounter a bad idea they didn't like.

Probably not.
Kira is one of the last new characters in MK and it can be seen tied up in Kahns Arena.
I think that this game will follow the Armageddon.

Eh, most of my favorite characters are from Mythologies and 4. I just really like the Netherealm and people whose origins are tied there I guess.
But if you want to tell a story right, you start at the beginning. There'll be plenty of chance to bring guys like Fujin and Kenshi into play in the sequel.

It absolutely feels like the classic age all over again, but I'm sure the story will not be identical.
