OMG! Probably not a new character but did you guys noticed the gollumnesque creature at Goro's Lair? it's at the left of the screen right before the x-ray, near a skeleton, you can see the eyes on the dark and if you look closer, a body moving.

There's a Moloch-looking creature with 2 glowing eyes in that cell. Like one of the Oni of MKSM. LoL, I guess we can play as an Oni in the new MK. Other than that, all I saw was Frost fighting in the BG of The Pit. But these are just filler visuals, so I dunno what Boon's on about.

I wonder what it could be, it seems too small to ba playable (the same way the one from kahn's arena is too big to be playable).

Other than that, my only guess is Frost rival on the pit.

I believe I see bald headed Kano in Red fighting Frost when Sonya is at Pit2.

That HAS to be an ONI (Moloch was an oni), Boon never said the character was playable. Looks pretty damn close to the MKSM Oni that just so happen to be in Goro's lair. They always talked of the yellow eyes in Goro's layer and turned them into these bastards. Pretty straight forward.

Sonya's X-ray is badass. That alone makes me want to play as her when the game drops. Everything else was pretty standard-issue though, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's just more of the same. I'm not going to bother with the Boon tweet, I'm sure said "secret character" will turn up eventually due to someone else's diligence.

Ms.Femme Fatale herself looks flawless,and that X-ray lord Jesus!!! Sonya is slaying. Goro's Lair is something I normally looked passed but not this time!

If the hidden character isn't Sareena, Frost, Daegon, Kano or that figure on the left at Goros lair, there could be a character hidden while subzero was falling into the pit's deathtrap. Not watching the vid again already seen it once on Tv and twice in hd on the site. It will be mentioned soon anyway.

Agreed, I didn't see anything even remotely new besides that Oni-looking thing and I doubt that's it.

I think thats just paying homage to mk1 goros lair, since they always had glowing yellow eyes. But maybe it will be explained.

1. X-ray moves are Super Moves .... didn't know that
2. You have a "meter" that can make special moves more powerful OR you can use that to combo breaker, again , nothing out there has stated any of that information.

Sonya's X-ray move does look REALLY awesome, so does Hakan's Ultra I in SSFIV, and we all know that THAT is why HAKAN is such a viable character in the game.

In all seriousness though, I wasn't trolling, I was simply stating that there really wasn't anything new in that interview ..... and in fact that wasn't even a "Hands on Preview". Generally "Hands on" means X-play got to play it, not some guy from NRS demoing it while Adam and Ed talked, so again, WE GOT NO IMPRESSION on how the gameplay is coming along, other than NRS showing off flashy shit on the screen.

11 Weeks away from release and I still can't find a website or magazine with a write up on THEM playing the game ......... 11 weeks away .... 11 ... and you guys get fucked off when I think that Sonya's new X-ray move isn't really news worthy. Forgive me.

The character Boon is talking about could be Frost, Sareena, Daegon, or the oni creature, there's nothing else there aside from the guys at the deadpool.

The only reason to watch this video was to see sonya's x-ray and Goro's lair. I wish they'd show more of these newer arenas and less of the pit 2 and the acid pit, both look great but have been shown too often. They still need to work on Sonya's transitional animations to her handstand, it was stiff in MKvDCU and it's still stiff now but her x-ray is great.

Oh, my God! My babe Sonya! Her X-ray is very outstanding! My jaw dropped when her X-ray move looks really brutal! I'm super exited for her gameplay. I love the Sonya X-ray! I'm officially 100% satisfied about what her X-ray move looks like! Queve will be more excited for the Sonya's X-ray. I cannot wait to see her intro and victory pose!

Goro's Lair looks awesomely great. Hopefully, the Onis are in Goro's Lair.

I'm tired of watching many footage of Scorpion and Sub-Zero over and over. Scorpion's and Sub-Zero's gameplay doesn't interest me.

Given how little they've shown us to this point, Sonya's X-ray (and for that matter, any gameplay footage that can be classified as new) certainly is newsworthy. Maybe some of these magazines are under NDAs right now, I know that isn't anything that anyone posting in this thread has mentioned yet. Point is, I'm not too concerned. I'm fine with the amount we've been shown, though I don't think it's particularly wise from a business standpoint. I still believe that everyone needs to calm down at least for a few more weeks.

Sorry, but this is news. Not every piece of news is going to be chock full of gameplay ins and outs; you ought to know this being a MK fan by now. This does show off new gameplay anyhow, so I'm not sure what you're complaining about.
