I am beginning to become a huge fan of this _JRF_ guy even though he was a prick to me last week.
Here is to hoping you throw out more bits of info today...

^^Ditto. His info always seems to be accurate. People want always sources, and for good reason since so many people claim to have inside info that is pretty much BS, but _JRF_ has been solid with his info in past MK games, and that should speak for itself.

I see a very orange horizon. It's almost over. This forsaken waiting has almost come to a close.
Obviously, we'll be entering the tempest of the pending roster, but one battle at a time, right?

What? SFIV & BlazBlue >>> Tekken 6 & Soul Calibur IV.
But hey, I prefer 3D over 2D. I like games like BlazBlue, but it's f'n damn 2010 lol

Dude, what?
Easy.
Street Fighter's graphis maybe aren't more realistic than Tekkens, but this is cuz of the comic style. But overall the backgrounds and graphics are better.
The 2D gameplay mixed with 3D stuff is far beyond Tekken or any other 3D fighter.
Imagine MK9, with REALISTIC 2.5D graphic. It would be awesome. You would play the game 2D style but have realistic 3D backrounds and some scenes like fatalities or whatever would be 3D.
3D games today lacks the debth of a 2D fighter ala Street Fighter or BlazBlue. (expect VF).
But if they are able to create a 3D fighter which is as awesome in gameplay as BlazBlue or SF it would be awesome as well

Is this actually based on something or is it a good old-fashioned case of "I don't care for it, so it can't be good?"
You aren't that much into fighting games are you? Ask some pro players what they think about it and why most of the pro players don't care about this games.
Look at Tekken, Soul Calibur and Dead or Alive and than at BlazBlue, Street Figther 4 or even Street Fighter 3.
Damn Tekken 6 is the biggest dissapointed from them all. They throw in 3 or 4 new characters but the gameplay didn't changed after all or just to a minor scale.
Dead or Alive is fun to play but nothing you go too deep in. If MK9 can do it better in 3d than it would be awesome. But I would prefer the 2.5 D idea for now for the gameplay. You can still make the graphic realistic in 2.5 D. Really Deadly Alliance was all 3D. And even if I enjoyed it... The gameplay wasn't that awesome. MK1-3 were more fun to play
/Gameplay wise

No, I just play them a lot and enjoy discussing them.

I'll get right on that.

You don't fix what isn't broken.

Were in total agreement here.

Tekken 3 >>> Tekken 4 <<< Tekken 5 >>> Tekken 6. And this is a fact.

Listin everyone, stop asking for sources. What I posted is true and you're just going to have to trust me. _JRF_ said in this topic that everything I said is true, and if you don't trust him, stop posting here...
Oh and I asked a mod to close this topic a few days ago, because the one shadowcat made is much much better. Here's the link to the topic everybody should go too: " rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">http://www.mortalkombatonline.com/content/forum/showmessage.cds?id=123583

Hmm, no. It doesn't work like that. You'll need sources if you want us to believe you. You could be KornKombat for all I know.

Well, I guess that means he needs sources, doesn't it?

LOL yeah, i'm KornKombat... the topic is now called "Mortal Kombat rumors". Because you're right, he might not be telling the truth. Sorry for posting rumors as fact. It will not happen again.

That would be great if we did get news next week, Seb-Star. But I don't think we will get anything until E3...

Didn't know Forden was gone, but good too see him back. I was listening to the MK1 and MK2 themes and they had much more vibe going on. Since it's a reboot, I hope the music for the fighters screen is going to be like the first or second MK...love that ethnic, asian influence.

Hah, well one can hope! still, isn't there meant to be a UK game magazine out in the next few days with a MK9 exclusive, any news on that? Well E3's what, 2 weeks away, so not too long.

Only 3 more days until that magazine comes out right? i guess we have somethign to look forward to then.
and for the 2.5D, I know it may not be technecally correct. But i see MK vs DC being kind of 2.5D. I believe the term being used will mean that the gameplay will revolved around left and right movement. You will be playing mentally in a 2D motion. But I believe a sidestep button will be incorperated and sidestepping will only be allowed with the pressing of this button.
to me, thats 2.5D
Im not saying its going to be like MKDC, but I believe it will operate similar in terms of movement for the most part.
