I'm having a hard time finding it too.

I was talking of the actual efforts put into the systems and its contents. I would like to calrify that I am not searching an argument nor do I look to insult you. We both just have strongly willed opinions. I am actually enjoying this.

And percentages mean nothing, on a system to system basis, it depends on the user/batch etc.

Ive had One PS1, One PS2 and One Ps3. all have lasted the entire life cycle of the system with no problems.

I went through 2 of both microsofts systems so far. You know, it really comes down to desire. If you ahve friends on Xbox, Go for Xbox, the prices are close enough where it doesnt really matter. But Xbox is kind of a hole. PSN+ will cost money but I am glad to play. Been a PS guy since PS1 came out.

Well, I've had 1 PS1, i've gone through 3 PS2's, and I've only had 1 Xbox, and 1 Xbox 360, so I really think that argument its prett pointless, especially considering that 360's failure rate has gone down, and none of my friends and family have had an Xbox 360 failure.

Yeah the 360 issue has died down a lot and I think it will be a normal rate with this new hardware. After all was said and done I had 3 ps1's, 3 ps2's, 1 xbox, 2 360's and 1 ps3 which I just got last christmas so to me it goes to show neither company is an angel when it comes to lasting hardware. The thing that pissed me off with the sony stuff was that they died so quickly. Like I said before they are both good systems though and if you are a true gamer and can afford it then it's awesome to be able to have both of them, if not it's just as the other guy said, if your friends play online get the system most of them have so you can enjoy it more.

I had a feelng I wouldn't find it today. After all, magazines rarely have specific release dates, so it would've surprised me if I did find it today.

Oh well, judging by how most bookstores operate, hopefully I'll find it before I go away for the weekend. Come on Barnes and Noble or Borders!

Speaking of which, is it just me, or is Gamestop strictly "Game Informer friendly" while shunning every other video game magazine? Lame.

I found it at good ol' wal-mart... and not at barnes and nobles or borders... The magazine is a good item to kollect... it has a timelime of all the games and there thoughts ... the character sketches are awesome... unfortunely no scorpion sketch...

and the cover is just so badass, so for me its like a collectors item you get packaged as a bundle.

The 3D tvs are costing thousands, why get that just for one system? Yeah the 360 breaks a lot but hell when you get a good system you don't have to throw money into it.

I also went to barnes and nobel with no avail. I tried going to a 7Eleven, but some moron didn't know how to park her yukon and I didnt feel like parking 5 minutes away for a magazine. I turned the car around and said fuck it

If u try a bookstore, its gonna be sold out. I got BOTH of my EGM mags from Toys R us today. They had both the Subzero cover and the Raiden cover. (for those of you who didnt know, yes there is an alternate cover with Raiden on it, and it looks like an in-game render)

The pic with Rain in the background DOES NOT mean he won't be in the game. Cyrax was BURIED halfway in sand in one of the backgrounds in UMK3 and was still playable, it just means that it will relate to the Story Mode. Sektor is seen on his Tekunin level in MKA and was still playable. Shang Tsung is in the background on his throne in MK9, but supposedly its confirmed he will be playable.

I have a question about the Tag Mode. I read that part of the article 3x and im still uncertain. They say that FOUR players will be playing 2vs2. Does that mean that ME 'and A FRIEND' will be on one team against TWO other Friends on a team? LoL. Has this ever been done b4? I know that all the Capcom games that were tag team were never a "co-op" tag mode. It was only one player controlling 2 or 3 characters on the same team.

Well, reading all the fuss about weather on not to purchase the game for Ps3 or 360, I'd just like to add that I'll be getting it for Playstation. Not just because I only have a Ps3 but for the fact that I prefer the Sony system over Microsoft's. I've always had a playstation pretty much my whole life, (well since they came out anyway). And the Dpad does own on the DualShock 3 haha.

On to the Game, I can't wait. I've been wanting this to happen since Deadly Alliance. And I can't wait to try out all the new features and find all the little secrets they may or may not have snuck in. As far as gameplay, I really love what they've done with the new/ MkvDcu fighting system.

And I could really care less if Rain makes it in or not, the only thing I would really look forward to would be the Super Round house, haha. But I do hope they add some cool alt. costumes for the characters. Maybe some more classic looks for some of the characters.

Not to sure how they will go about this. Great idea and I think it will sell, but the problem is how they button layout is setup.

If they go for a non-standard layout (eg MK3 style 6 button) it makes it somewhat useless for other games.

The following might work, seeing is Run now seems to be a F,F dash:

FP Throw RP
FK BLK RK

Yet if they have a standard 6/8 button layout, then they lose alot of sales as people already may have a standard stick, and have no reason to buy another, apart from the MK specific images etc.

I actually FINALLY found it today (BOTH covers!) at Books-A-Million! I tried a Wal-Mart after what I read earlier, but they had totes sitting out that no one would open. So yep, got 'em both!



Good points. I personally don't feel an urge to play as Rain anyway, and he BARELY makes it into the canon of the first three MKs (in my opinion). After all, he was only first playable in the console versions of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and also Mortal Kombat Trilogy.



Everything I've seen/read, highly implies (might've even explicitly stated) that tag team can be played by four people, two on each side. I honestly don't think this has been done, but I find it a welcome addition and makes it far more realistic in how a tag team match would really work. However, I hope they also allow the "classic" method of having one player control a team, a la Tekken Tag Tournament.
