I think that becuase this is a revamp of this series(I see this is equivilent to SF4 release, and I'm not alone) then Goro should be the big brute boss, since he is the original.

But perhaps not playable, at least in a legit sense. Sheeva could be the playable Shokan. Leave colorful Kintaro and the the more complicated Motaro for the sequel or future DLC.

This is another example of how NRS SHOULD be marketing this game. Sneaky shots that we have to argue about to even decide if they're legit. Reveal character designs by teasing us. We might go less crazy waiting that way. Because until Sonya gets an official reveal, you can damn well bet we'll be talking about that background shot.

So, even though we know it's Official, it appears not to be any Official design for the new game. For all we know, this picture was made for him during the MKDA, MKSM, MKU, or MKvsDC years.

BUT, Ed really makes it sound like the pic isn't even official (from the MK team) at all. That's kind of suspicious, so, maybe he is just pretending? He could had just confirmed that the picture is an old concept art for Goro, instead, he leaves the door open to speculation.

I think he looks kinda slimmer and more like a ninja rather then a big hulking meat-headed brute, you know ? Like he could throw some fast moves rather then just swing his arms and stomp around. ( not saying that he does that, but he looked the part )
