Footage of Skarlet's Main and Alt costume in the model viewer. Then some gameplay footage wherin she has no special moves, and the stupidest sound effects I've ever heard in my life.

There's some dispute as to whether it's a hacked mod using assets from the game disc, or if it's an early incomplete build of her DLC that's just leaked.

The guy posting it claims the latter... personally I'm thinking the former.

In any case I don't know why in holy hell people keep adamantly believing this game won't have on disc DLC. I don't care what Boon says/said... It's pretty damn obvious to anyone who keeps their eyes open during story mode that at least SOME of Skarlet's assets are on the disc... if this video is hacked from data on the disc, that's indeed MORE of Skarlet's assets on disc, though the jury is still out on that...

In either case, I'd still say it's... highly, highly likely that the Klassic costumes will be on-disc DLC. And possibly the bosses. And possibly Brutalities.

In any event, yeah... first I've seen of the video, so thought I'd share the link. Forgive me if it's been posted already, but I don't think it has...

First of all, why does she use Mileena's VS pose? Lulz

Second, the way she stands confirms that she is a prostitute.

Third, why does she have a hedge clipper sticking out the back of her head in her alt?

Her model may be on the disc, but it seems apparent that a fully realized character is not. I like her alt as that is the most clothed female in the game.

Answers to the first and third questions:

Because this is either an unfinished build of her actual DLC...

or

Because this is a hacked build using unfinished models in ways they weren't supposed to be used.

In either case, Mileena's artwork was used as a stand-in/placeholder, and her alt model has some sort of bandana that hasn't been rigged for... natural animation. In this footage. So it's sticking out rigid.

What I find interesting is when selected, the announcer does say "Skarlet!" so... apparently that confirms her name... since the sound files exist... somewhere.

Her alt makes her seem ok. A more traditional ninja than the Edenian lady-ninjas, seems fitting with all the fully cowled male ninjas, to have a woman dressed at least a little similarly.

Her normal costume is not so great imho, but since her appearance doesn;t bring much of anything new to the table...it seems likely that her gameplay WILL.

Skarlet's model is OBVIOUSLY in the game. Nobody is debating that. Obviously, that's an asset, but that's not content. That's just a model, no different than a chair or a table. You have to do a LOT of work to make her a real, genuine, fighting character with a repertoire of moves and fleshed out content.

But it looks like she's missing her special moves, applied physics, IK rigging, versus portraits, more diverse audio, endings, fatalities... you know, the MEAT of the character. That absolutely sounds like DLC content for her to make her a playable character.

When she's available and I download her... I'll definitely be using her alt costume full time. The first one is just so boring...not that the second is spectacular... but it is a bit better.

Footage wherein she fights in the playable field of this particular game in a seemingly unfinished manner which does not involve special moves. But which is clearly not gameplay. Just someone playing with her in the game.

Dude, don't overthink it. I said she doesn't use special moves and I personally think the footage looks hacked. What do you want from me? :P

exactly.. not only does she have mileena's vs pic shes rocking jade's stance and basic attacks.

Looks like this is just Skarletts model with Mileenas moves or something. Guess they really are calling her skarlett, though.

Looking forward to seeing what she has in store - not that we didn't know she was coming or anything. The alt's very nice, something of an improvement over her main.

Wonder what else she'll have apart from throwing knives.

I really like her alt. actually. Obviously, this is probably a very raw version of her, due to the Mileena pose. Can't wait to play as her.
Her "voice" is hilarious, though.

Oh no that's right... models... on the disc... that we know can be applied to the characters, but we don't have complete access to.

I'm just saying, some people keep adamantly claiming there will be no DLC on-disc, and it's... plain as friggin' day that SOME of the DLC is at the very least, partially on the disc. DLC development began BEFORE the game's release.

Many keep making the claim that the Klassic Kostumes MUST be unlockable because there won't be ANY on-disc DLC for this game. I disagree. Skarlet's primary costume (at the very least) is on the disc. This is a model. It is no more or less technically complex than the klassic costumes. Yet it will only be accessible in a playable capacity through the purchase of DLC.

As I believe the Klassic costumes will be.

And possibly the bosses.
And possibly brutalities.

haha, nice, I'm one of biggest fan of Skarlet ! yeah, this model exist on the disc, but, maybe only to the purpose of Skarlet having a model in story mode, since she appears there as a NPC.

It's unfinished version, at the moment, NRS are working on her, to finish all details, and give her a complete playable model, with fatalities and specials moves. I like a lot her primary outfit , but, her alternate is sick cool and nice ! A true ninja-girl warrior ! smiletongue

Good find.

This is close to that Marvel VS Capcom 3 garbage with characters on the disc, but Skarlett looks much less fleshed out.

So lets see, we have the original costumes on disc and at least Skarlett partially on disc.

Watching it again with audio, she sounds like Vega getting kicked in the testicles while raping a muppet. God, those better be placeholder SFX.

No surprise since her model is seen in the game in the story and on Khans stage and it obviously wasnt and old model like the other cameo characters because she never had a an actual model before.

it looks like they had the intent of putting her in the game but they just let it hang until now that they will finish her through DLC.
