Okay, I don't mind MK3 Sub-Zero, even though they could have been a little LESS lazy and just gave him his real MK3 look or his MKDA look. But Retro Cyber Sub-Zero is what has pinched a nerve in me.
I mean why? WHY? No offense to any Cyber Sub-Zero fans or anyone who actually like the retro costume for him but he DOESN'T deserve one. He's a brand new character. He was never in MK3. I would have rather them give us MK3, Cyber Smoke, or MK2 Mileena and I don't even PLAY with Mileena.
Seriously. I don't mean to sound ungrateful, because I really do love this game, but as of lately, they have been disappointing me with the new DLC. I'm over the retro ninja DLC at this point. I want to see some klassics for the other characters.

People are apparently losing their brains over this. Saying that it doesn't make sense for there to be a MK3 Cyber Sub-Zero is silly.
It's a BONUS COSTUME. It's just there for fun. It didn't cost them a thing to paint the MK3 Cyborg blue, so they did it. Big deal. It's just a fun little thing, nobody's shooting you in the foot over it.
I personally like the ''alternate reality'' costumes and I wish we had more. Who cares if they "make sense"?


I love the unmasked Sub-Zero costume. I've always loved his MK3 and Player 2 MK4 looks. Sure he doesn't look exactly like John Turk and the actual outfit is an unmasked MK3 ninja - again, still pretty awesome and I will be getting that look for sure along with Freddy.

The UMK3 costume without the mask? *Sigh*...

I can only think that they have made one for Scorpion for later release and they were too lazy to make the MK3 SZ costume, so instead they removed the mask and also gave it to SZ.

I rather not have this and avoid fighting Freddy online.

I absolutely love him unmasked, better than the MK3 unmasked costume. Yay for the scar! Really really happy about this as sub is one of my mains.

I think its awesome CSZ has a retro comin, I hope they give one to skarlet as well. Im not so happy with mk3 unmasked sub though, seems they tried to please fans of both the mk3 ninja and mk3 unmasked subzeros but didnt do either justice, really should have been 2 seperate costumes :(

Oh come one people! you really want a square headed whiteboy in tights? I know everyone and their mother in MK has a loin cloth but it looks better with this new one. I might be the only one but I'm in favor of having unmasked UMK3 ninja costumed Subbie.

As for his face, he looks Asian / American, which is what he is. Black hair and all. I like this face better than John Turks.

On the plus side, it will now be much easier to select CSZ's P2 colors since you won't have to do the select screen trick.

They won't release costumes for DLC characters in combatability packs because not everybody has bought them. This has been discused already.

I don't why people are complaining for some optional... let alone something that is free.

Didn't mean to imply that An MK2 Skarlet would be possible as a compatibility pack costume.. just as a part of a big pack like the first retro costume pack.

I love unmasked Subby! He's one of my mains, so i'm definitely happy.

Unmasked Sub-Zero looks good. I wish someone besides ninjas got classic costumes, but they're a free giveaway, so we shouldn't complain too much.

Just let them know that next time, we would appreciate other costumes more.

I would tend to think they would do another costume pack or two and that throwing in a Klassic Cyber Sub-Zero costume would save MK2 and MK3 costumes for paid DLC costume packs. Rather then release a random one with mask-less Sub-Zero.

Surprisingly not many people are aware that this is the last DLC batch, but LOL OH WELL, let them have false hopes for Cyber Smoke or DLC character alts.

Not what I was expecting, but with low expectations I'm not as disappointed. On the bright side, those who wanted an alternate for Cyber Sub-Zero now have it, he should of had an alternate costume in the first place.


This isn't really MK3 Sub-Zero, but I guess I'll take him, kind of iffy on getting the compatability pack, it's just so meh. Half is cool, other half is ugh...I love my MK3 Subbie though.


MK3 Sub-Zero was my 4th most wanted retro, behind MK3 Sonya, MK1 Johnny Cage, and MK3 Shang Tsung.



I'm really hoping we get a retro skins pack for everyone else now, it seems inevitable, plus I mean they have all those unused palette swaps floating around, why not....but seriously, I'm hoping retros show for the non-palette swap characters, I'll pay for them, just crank them out please and classic fatalities included especially if we're going to pay 5 dollars for them.
