As bad as this compatibility pack is, I hope they make up for it somewhat by letting unmasked sub-zero be able to do his headrip retro fatality.

Also, how typical of them to give him the scar, something he received canonically while escaping from the Lin Kuei robot lab, something which NEVER HAPPENED in the new timeline. Ah NRS, you never fail to screw up with old inconsistencies in the old story, new inconsistencies in the old story and now new inconsistencies in the new story. Are you kidding? It's obviously because unmasked sub has always had a scar, and it's not meant to be taken canonically, just like Ermac's MK1 costume.

Kick ass! I so wanted unmasked Sub-Zero. And the fact that he's in the MK3 ninja costume is pretty awesome. I just wish the other ninjas got their "UMK3" costumes as well. Well, maybe later. Still, this is pretty awesome!

Not bad, not bad. Yeah, the MK3 Sub isn't exactly "Retro", but it's still okay. I still want the MKDA alternate (with the ice arms) the most, though.

I love the MK3 Cyber Sub-Zero. I don't use Cyber Sub at all, but I love the classic robot look!

I hope it isn't true that this is the last DLC.

And Sub certainly did not have a scar before the events of the original MK3. As I said, and a story expert like Razor can confirm this, he received it escaping from the robot factory.

Yeah, I'm sure a ton of people appreciate every character with long hair looking like they just dipped their head in a vat of bacon grease, or the online being ASS with respect to lag, or the game randomly freezing for no reason whatsoever so that you have to reboot the game, or sometimes your whole PS3. Those things are great. I shouldn't be bitching about them, because so many people love them

2. IDGAF if you take me seriously if all you want to do is wank to how great NRS is.

Whatevs. I'm more than happy with this compatibility pack. I feel no desire whatsoever to download it, and therefore do not have to entertain any dilemmas over whether I want the costume or not having to see Freddy evar more.

Another two things that make me happy are that
1. We now know that everything they say on twitter is just as reliable as what comes out of a politicians mouth (i.e., assumed to be most certainly bulls*** until proven otherwise).
2. As a corollary to 1., Eddie Boonie said that Skarlet wouldn't be getting an MK2 costume, so that means she most certainly will (until proven otherwise).

I realized there is a bug at 00:58 with Cyber Sub-Zero "hair" pointing up.

I know you're better than this because I've seen you make long, insightful and well written posts about the game. But since Freddy was announced I've only read posts about how everyone who downloads him is an idiot, or constantly making remarks about how Boon is an ass and keeps shitting all over his fans, like this game is a piece of crap and doesn't have any redeeming qualities. Look at the very post you just made, you're just complaining about minor details that have little to no effect in the game whatsoever (except for the lag, which I personally haven't found as bad as everyone says) but it seriously looks like you hate the game over minor details.

I'm not saying you should kiss Boon/NRS's ass and say their game is perfect, because it's not. There's lots of flaws in the game and we all know it. But it's also the best MK to date, and the fact that you bash it nonstop just because they took some decisions you don't agree with is both unfair and uncalled for.

I don't care about either of these (would have loved to seen a UMK3 Rain costume) but why the hell wouldn't you download it for free?! I'm REALLY fucking tired of the DCs and desyncs - I cannot understand why people will not download the free compatibility packs to aovid this. Pisses me off.

I'm playing MK less and less every week because I can't even start a round without crashing anymore. For every compatibility patch that comes out, the likliness of dysnyc skyrockets.

Because it's not free. We have to "pay" for it by enduring Freddy. I would take a thousand desyncs over that. Also, if it makes some Freddy fans ragequit, that's icing on the cake.

Not sure why you think that, the text clearly says:

"Sub-Zero and Cyber Sub-Zero are bundled with Freddy Krueger or seperate as the Compatibility Pack"

We've never paid for these skins before right? I thought these were always bundled with the free comp packs...

Aaaaand that's the beauty of the compatibility pack.

You can do your best to troll other online players with Freddy but the most upset of fans won't even download the pack making it a fruitless endeavor.

Less so if your on a 360.

Also Skarlet Kenshi Rain and Freddy fans get butthurt because somone didn't like the characters and costumes enough to download the free content and now they can't play as their favorite character.
