I think at this point it's much more important to flesh out the characters that are already a part of the story. Revamp the MK4 through Armageddon characters before introducing new ones. Otherwise the "too many characters" problem will just get worse.

To answer your question, I found her quite interesting in that short time we have seen her in. She screams of potential to become something great! Not just because Jade is my favourite character, but I do think her ending is one of the most interesting and mysterious of them all. It doesn't conclude anything! It just leaves us with alot of more unanswered questions - questions that I hope will be answered one way or the other.

Other than that, I like her design. I think she has an interesting look which again leaves us questioning - Why is she dressed like that? It's no typical Edenian attire, so does that mean she is something else? And if it does, what is she then?

I have always been a fan of the mysterious characters. Jade, Rain, Reiko... they are all characters whom we know little to nothing about - though Jade and Rain's pasts have been revealed to us through this game now.
The Lady in Green/Turqouise is another example of that. And it has caught my interest and left my mind to wonder who she might be - hence this thread.

Even the images in Jade's ending are just spectacular. The 'Lady' is one of the best little tidbits we get in this game.

I would like if they could ditch the "If so and so defeats the boss" concept and simply say what actually happens.

I quite like these endings, as they leave us wondering what will happen next. Also, NRS already gave us a "This is the canon story!" mode for us to play through. I just hope that some of the tidbits from the non-canon Arcade Ladder ending will stick with the canon story and be explained in the future - such as the Lady in Green. ^^

You mean MK1. The only games that really had anything other than "They defeat the boss, a thing happens" were Deadly Alliance and Deception.

Well that is true about the story mode, it's not like the past games where everything pretty much hung on the bios and endings.

But it does annoy me when they introduce amazing endings like this and yet they do nothing with them. I guess all the endings don't have to be 100% cannon, but I wish that NRS will take elements from them and utilize 'em for the next game. Give them some kind of use.

Great way to fix that problem: Replace them with new characters such as.... I don't know..... The Lady in Turquoise.

Seriously, there are sooooo many characters from MK4 and beyond that I wouldn't care if we never saw again. Ever.

Honestly, a reboot should do just that: Reboot. Go in a totally different direction. Why should they revisit the same thing again? I don't want to see MK4 through Armageddon happen again just slightly different... Deadly Alliance should never happen, I don't want to see Onaga return, Armageddon should be prevented, etc... New characters should come in to shift the focus of the story in a different direction, away from all of those awful characters we got in those games. The first person to do this should be the Lady in Turquoise.... And by chance we might just stumble upon the rare bright spot of the 3d era characters, like Ashrah.

Well, I am mildly colourblind and someone in another thread referred to her as the Lady in Green, so I took it in. Others have said she looks more turqouise, so I might change the name.

Or maybe you have played as Jade enough to see everything green...LOL

Somebody mentioned Lady In Gold earlier, which I think fits the agenda quite fine. As for what I think of her, she screams potential as a new character in MK10.

My viewpoint of this "Lady in Green" as referred to....I think it could be, Li Mei. I could be wrong tho.

Someone was talking about Onaga having a Queen and that brought me back to MKD (Li mei's ending). Onaga transformed her into his Queen, but, it's possibly non-canon. *What if* this was to be cannon? Then that would mean, it's her.

Truthfully, the true *Lady in Purple* is Lei Mei.

Her skin is greenish, that's a start...

Though her clothing kind of looks like tin foil.

I'm going to refer to her as the "Lady in Tin Foil" from now on.

I think we as MK fans over think everything. I don't understand why we can't keep old charcacters and remake them. Yes they were boring in the old timeline but this as many have said a new timeline a reboot. So what if the story changes? The characters can come in either way. IMO we don't need new characters we just need to flesh out the old ones. Look what happened with Rain not many liked him boom new timeline a lot of people like him now.

So why can't the 3d era characters get the love either?

Lady in Green - the name refers to her possessing Jade... so she will be a lady in green. AHA!

Even if it were canon, it would mean nothing. Unless there was even more time travel screwiness, and Li Mei somehow came back from a different timeline all together...

I could see this woman being Khameleon, there's something almost reptilian about her, but I can't put my finger on it.
