They've messed up both of the previous DLC's,
Skarlet coming late to PS3, Kenshi coming late to 360...

Back in the day, there weren't as diverse a community as there is today. Back in the day, people were Scorpion fans, Sub-Zero fans or Kitana fans on this forum. Being something else would be seen as being wrong. I remember that, because I was a distinct Jade and Rain fan.

Today, fans of the less popular characters step forth and support their favourite characters. Today, it means something to be a Rain fan!

You can choose to acknowledge it or not, but there's a reason for this hype. There are people who WANT Rain!

Yea I can remember my friends making fun of me for being a Sindel fan. ( actually that still happens now lol) I can remember when I was little my cousins would come over and we would play Mortal Kombat (not the game, we just pretended we were the characters) they were always Sub, Scorpion, and Reptile...and I was Sindel. HAHA such good times lol.

You can expect me to beat the Rain Drum *frequently* until he has vanquished that blind swordsman and I am halfway to owning a Rain statuette!

It's a pretty valid statement, to be honest. Though right now there's a lot of hype for Rain, there aren't many actual fans of him, just a minority that is louder than the Kenshi, Skarlet, and other fans for other characters. Most of the people who wanted Rain it wanted him there for completion's sake, since this is basically MK Trilogy 2.0. Hell, I'm still hoping we see Khameleon and Chameleon!
The fact that the Poll of the Day's taking advantage of this is ignored, and since the only way for the poll to be worth it is if 100 give a down payment to buy a Rain figurine, I don't think it'll work.
Edit: I have to read the entire news lead before commenting on it. I assumed that the current poll was related to the news lead, and it is not, so please ignore the struck-out stuff.

If these things require 100 down payments,
it would seem Scorpion and Sub Zero (and *maybe* Raiden) would be the only characters getting made.

I thought the Water Blade was his 2nd fatality? And the "Water Balloon" fatality was his 1st?

but we don't know which is "first" (available from the get-go) or "second" (locked at first).

soooo what time will Rain be available for DLC ? ... cause im sitting up waiting in anticipation .

Rain fans have ALWAYS been loud, especially when it comes to this MK. He wasn't part of the main roster, and I curse NRS for that and so have the other Rain fans. Since day one, Rain fans have made sure to be heard that they wanted Rain in the game, and now we are actually getting him!

It's not just a momentarily hype - we will ALWAYS be this enthusiastic about Rain! And if Rain turns out to be a disappointment (which I doubt), then you will be sure to hear the raging fans!

We might be a minority, but we have made sure our voices have been heard - and now they have been answered!
