The real funny deal with Australia is, MTV is on air there.

If something is wrong for your children its MTV, all those irritating humans on that channel kill 10.000 of youngsters each days, they commit suicide for not having such a "cool" life or appearance as the youngsters shown there, they kill themselves because everybody gets cars for their birthday and they only get 5 dollars.

Anyhow, bann MTV instead of violent games, it works miracles I promise you Australians.

Ow there was NOTHING wrong with MTV in the 80ties and 90ties, it became corrupted and polluted when they didn't played music anymore, only rich girl shows and beautiful people rule the world shows.

So Australia bann MTV and make MK legal, then you are a country that makes sense.

It's worth keeping in mind that the only active campaign about the issue is the overwhelming support for an R18+ rating. It seems to be more an issue of complacency and ignorance, than any kind of moralistic crusade, or intellectually motivated decision.

The threat of $100,000 fines isn't because the government is stroking their collective moustache thinking up ways to screw the average joe. It's because it hasn't been a priority to fix a dated and flawed system and the consequences snowball until someone a border security is forced to do their job to it's fullest extent for the good of everyone else.

This makes me glad for my mom. She actually had no problem with mk. Why? no person in the world could do those things. Also she thought the blood was a good thing. I punch a guy in street fighter,sparks fly off and they get a k.o. The person then gets up perfectly fine.In mk,they bleed,and possibly die. How is that better? I learned if i hit someone it could possibly do damage to them,and that was bad. With use of (you know) parenting she explained why these things should(and in many cases can) only be done in a video game,and to appreciate the art behind them. You know what i have never killed a person,in fact I've never hit anybody,because i am under the impression even a weakling can kill a person if that person is hit in the right way. So i didn't. I learned non violence from parenting and mk. Take that Australian classifications board.

I feel for the Australians though. I think that the government may be overcompensating for the fact Australia was first settled by British inmates. Newsflash to them Australians aren't inherently criminals,they have proven that by being an upstanding country for a long @$$ time. Give your own country the benefit of the doubt,i think they could handle it. Well i hope that this type of thing will be changed for the Aussies,and that things work out.

What gets me is that music/movies i think is more influential because musician/actors get idolized, and people are more influenced by others. eg I doubt the Germans would of started Auschwitz concentration camp if Hitler didn't exist, further more violent music and movies are available to kids (who they say will be influenced to do what they see easier) that being said I've played mk since i was 4 and for the life of me i still can't make an ice clone. And I fucking hate how just cos its a game they think less of it, hell mk is my version of harry potter after 3 of my mates died in a car accident, waiting for mka to come out took my mind off that shit and when it came out it made me happy to play it. So fuck that prick who won't give an R rating mk isn't all bad.

Dear Minister,

I’m in the process of renewing my passport, and still cannot believe this.

How is it that K-Mart has my address and telephone number, and knows that I bought a Television Set and Golf Clubs from them back in 1997, and yet, the Federal Government is still asking me where I was born and on what date? For Christ sakes, do you guys do this by hand?

My birth date you have in my Medicare information, and it is on all the income tax forms I’ve filed for the past 40 years. It is on my driver’s license, on the last eight passports I’ve ever had, on all those stupid customs declaration forms I’ve had to fill out before being allowed off the planes over the last 30 years, and all those insufferable census forms that I’ve filled out every 5 years since 1966.

Also, would somebody please take note, once and for all, that my mother’s name is Audrey, my Father’s name is Jack, and I’d be absolutely f***ing astounded if that ever changed between now and when I drop dead!!!...

I apologize, Mr. Minister. But I’m really pissed off this morning. Between you and me, I’ve had enough of all this bullshit! P.S.: Remember what I said above about the picture, and getting someone in high-society to confirm that it’s me? Well, my family has been in this country since before 1850! I might get people who disagree (and that's okay cause we all have our opinions) but this is a clear example of government holding on to stupid laws. The US has one of the highest gun releated deaths in any "developed" country because of what our forefathers wrote on a paper years ago. (right to bear arms) ... (which was relevent to their time in the country) But I highly doubt our forefathers wrote that thinking teens and adults would blow each other away so easily for drugs, gangs, greed, jealousy, etc. Our governments needs to adapt to our ever changing world. Video Games don't cause crime unless there is already a pre-exisiting mental issue in those who play them. So they should be focusing on how to help those people before it gets that far. JMHO!

I feel bad for Australians. Can Americans perhaps send the game to them as regular mail without them figuring it out? I'd be happy to send you a copy if you give me the cash via PayPal. I'm down to help a fellow MK fan out.

For any Aussie that REALLY wants it, get a friend to buy it from you, and then put the disc in the cover of another game, like Rock band, because plenty of people Imported that because it was never released. Or just put the disc in a slip case.
