Ok. I'm a tad confused.

Does the Kollectors edition come with ALL of the classic costumes for each of the players? Is the only difference with the exclusives @ different retailers vs. the Kollectors edition, that it comes with original fatalities for only one specific character? Ex: Scorp, Sub, and Reptile?

I just want the edition that has all the classic costumes for all characters.

This is purely a wild guess on my part, but I think the KE will come an exclusive Klassic Costume. I could be wrong, of course.
yeah so.. does it come with "a" klassic costume (as in One character only) or will every character have their klassic costumes? like Kitana, Sonya, Mileena, etc?

So, is anyone else going to pre-order from all three retailers to get the exclusives, and then cancel for two of them?

... because I'm probably going to do that. I prefer human Reptile, I want Sub-Zero's spin rip, and Scorpion without his Toasty just isn't Scorpion.

It doesn't work like that. When you pick up your pre-order is when you're able to get the card with the DLC code for exclusives. So cancelling wont work

But could you "return" the new copy of the game and keep the pre-order swag? Blast it, WB, for making me jump through hoops.

Lol well that is actually true. Good thinking.

Blast myself for wanting all of the boxes

I curious about the price for the Kollectors Edition. Is it going to be 80$? 90$? I hoping it's not to expensive because I wouldn't mind owning that version. Oh well, I guess it's time to play the waiting game.

Based on other releases, I'm going to assume the standard edition will be $60, the Kollector's Edition will be $80, and the Tournament Edition will be $150.

I want to get a look at the stick. I hope it's Mad Catz. If so, count me in.

I said it was a wild guess. The information given is extremely vague. We just have to wait.

Nope. Amazon seems to be the most up-to-date, but all they have is the Reptile Render.

Well shit. I knew they were gonna pull this "preorder to get a bonus...oh but wait, there's three different stores with three different ones! Now you have to pick! BWAH HA HA HA HA" crap on us.

I think we all knew they would pull this on us.

I wonder if they'll pull a MUGEN on us and recolor the Scorp/S-Z/Reptile MK1 skins to look like Smoke, Ermac, Rain and Noob to show what they would have looked like if they were in MK1.

Guys, you aren't going to have to "choose" between anything. All of this stuff is going to be standard DLC. What the preorder does is give you a code to download just that particular item for free among all the items that'll cost however much money.

So, in other words, if you preorder from GameStop you get a code to download Scorpion's DLC and can then pay for Sub's DLC. If you preorder from Best Buy just switch it around. You're paying the exact same amount. All that changes is the particular freebie.

So the preorder only really matters if you aren't planning to get all the DLC and only want a specific one.

Dunno' what to decide.
Reptile is looking awesome, his best appearance after MK4. Nothing superfluous, just his classic, pardon, Klassik design. Awesome!!
I wonder what they consider his original Fatality, since in MK1 he hasn't his Fatality of his own and in MK2 he had 2 finishers at the same time. But anything will be good.
And I bet that is the reason wahy Scorpion has his luckluster finishers in the game - they withold Toasty for a DLC / Preorder. Seems WB going by the SF4 route, but sadly that was totally expected.

I hope they'll release more information about KE. In particular I want to know if this one will include all classic costumes and fatalities. I really don't want to buy it later as DLC or choose only one of them. Though I expect Scorpion and Sub-Zero being just palette swaps of MK2 ninja outfit with some minor details altered.

Is it just me, or is Reptile's klassic kostume better than his primary one? This is the best thing special edition of anything I have ever seen! I would like to buy them all but I would probably go for Reptile's costume as the others will be DLC eventually. Still can't wait! tonguetongue

Good news, as much as I would like the sub and scorp figurines ill get the standard edition and just get all the klassic costumes and fatalities as dlc when the dlc drops. That way I save myself from having 2 pick at a specific retailer.

The figurines will be a loss though. Oh well. We can't get everything we want.

Though, this brings another question: Will characters have in-game alternative costumes? I'm all for special DLC Costumes like this, but I truly hope they don't go the SF4/SS4 route.

Yeah they could make all the fans happy. WB needs to simply get rid of this exclusive pre-order bullshit if you buy at a certain retailer! Stupid marketing moves like this annoy the hell out of me.

This isn't a "pre-order bonus" more like they are literally taking away content that is on the disc and only allowing you to access it because of where you bought it and you know down the road they'll make everyone pay money for the other two classic skin and fatalities.

Once again more bullshit moves from WB. I would expect this from a failing Midway but not from the WB...

At least one alternative costume for sure. If not, I will shoot in Ed Boon's head. 2 costumes and 2 Fatalitys are basic/minimum. More as DLC are welcome, but not less please.
