We've already been shown that we're only going to get 1 of 3 classic outfits, we'll certainly have to pay for the other 2.

Nothing up on the store sites yet. Yeah, the fact they call it a "portable" stick is interesting...probably where the idea of it being wireless came from. I think wireless sticks are out there, but I understand they have lag. Honestly, I'm leaning towards the Kollector's Edition...unless, like you said, the quality of the stick is decent. I'm on my second custom stick...Sanwa and Seimitsu parts FTW! I'm more curious about the button layout of their stick haha...still not sure how to set it up for this game...

First off, Reptile's tongue rip fatality is one of my favorite finishers of all time. I'm fucking stoked.

Second of all, Reptile looks good. I'm not blown away, but at least they took the time to makes his eyes reptilian. If it was just a complete palette swap, I'd be a bit meh.

Third, Amazon charges you after the item ships, right?

More like when the item ships. But yea, you won't get charged up front for a pre-order. But you won't receive your DLC without having the item shipped to you.

Are the 2 special edition available for pre-order now on Amazon or any other sites?

Having said that, I desperately want that art book, and I want Human Reptile too. Living in Ireland, that might be a problem, since even if I did order from the States the game would not work in my Xbox due it not being PAL. Fingers crossed there's plans in motion for the European fans because I'd feel robbed as both an EU citizen and an Xbox 360 owner if I missed out on all the perks :(

No...You can get a costume and finisher with the standard edition pre-ordered as well.

DLC will most likely be there on day one. Games usually come out on tuesday night / wednesday which is the same time psn and xbox upadate their stores.

I have a feeling each character will have 1 unlockable costume, and then you have to buy ther other 2 classic costumes / fatalities.

Apparently you have forgotten what came with the SF4 standard / collectors editions. I was there, go get a history lesson on wiki or something. Actually, don't. DLC is real. It happens all the time and it is a staple of every big release game these days. It was planned for MKvDC, and Boon & Co have stated practically since the beginning of this game that DLC fatalities, skins, characters, and stages were in the works. THIS IS NOT NEWS. All they did today is say hey listen, you put out for us, and we'll put out for you. That's it. If your perogative is to whine and bitch about the principle of DLC and having to spend money for extra stuff, then that's dumb because DLC is old news and NRS is not forcing you to do anything here. You already have a game with characters, costumes, fatalities and Kratos (wink, wink). All of this shit is EXTRA. If you want EXTRA stuff, you have to pay EXTRA money. Deal with it.

Now, you can claim the content is on the disc and they've been planning it from the start but you don't know and you won't know until the game comes out. Nobody knows but NRS. Don't even waste the breath. All you know is, collectors editions exist, dlc exists, and if you put up money now you get an extra piece of the pie for FREE.

I don't think the DLC will be available from day one. That would defeat the purpose of this whole deal. I'm sure they made financial deals with all the retailers involved. The companies will need the exclusive rights for a little while.

Then why does it only say "downloadable content that includes an exclusive Mortal Kombat Klassic costume skin" under the description for the Kollector's and Tournament editions, and not under the standard one?

Actually, MK is worse because they only offer their costumes with their collector's editions and pre-order bonuses. Street Fighter gave a free costume code with the purchase of a new copy of the standard game.

I took it as you get the costume/fatality if you preorder any version, and the kollector's edition nets you a separate costume. For example, Jax "fuck with my pants" Briggs.

This is from Amazon. I'm sure if you just pre-order the game from one of the three retailers you'll get one of the costumes and fatalities for the character.
