All of them If they work well enough to develop the characters, they could all be good. Even Jarek.

Jarek definately. All people remember about him is that he worked for the Black Dragon. There's a whole cornicopia of opportunities for expansion on this guy!

I don't think Drahmin and Moloch got as much moments of monstrosity they're credited for. They're supposed to be terrifying, so show us the terror they are capable of other than just growling and looking disgusting!

Tanya could use a little more history other than just being a traitor. Secret royalty? Possible god-hood? Addictions? Who knows!

I want to see more Mavado too. He seems all dark and cool and I think he'd make a formidable foe.

Nitara definately deserves more. She's a vampire. How cool is that?! And if she can free her realm and bring back some of her friends, that'll also be sweet!

Hsu Hao too. All I see him as is a Mongolian-version of Kano, so they should definately work on him.

Reiko- keep his story the same, but with the new system he can brutal like Kahn and combo worthy like Kano. I like his character and I feel that he can be a fan favorite if they beef up his moveset.

Drahmin- also very savage and brutal and a bit demented. Make hi
Look creepy and make him sadistic.

Kai- can be very combo worthy and can be a more relatable character and a better version of Liu Kang. The next gen hero

I certainly do not think Tanya, Fujin, Shinnok, or Bo' Rai Cho are in need of redemption.

They never had a fallout in the series, at least not to me.

As for the rest of them, I will list the characters I feel do deserve redemption, and I'll do one better by explaining why:

Kai - First off, those cornrows pissed me the hell off. Second, I feel Kai can truly grow as a character with the right direction. I do like the fact that in MK4 he went off to find himself, and was given Raiden's staff to do it. I think that one aspect can prove great if expanded on well.

Jarek - I honestly don't think he is evil by nature, like Kano. I think that with some good influence from Sonya, Jarek can turn his life around for the better, eventually becoming a great ally for the Forces of Light.

Hsu Hao - I'll be honest, I freakin' hate Hsu Hao, but with the way this story is going, an informant doesn't sound like a bad idea. Maybe Hsu Hao can be scrapped from the Red Dragon all together, and just be a spy for the Special Forces.

Li Mei - I'm honestly not sure what can he done with Li Mei, with the Deadly Alliance wiped out of the second timeline. However, simply because she took a stand and decided to fight for her people's freedom, I feel she is due something.

Nitara - Even though, she really had absolutely nothing to do with the MKDA storyline, I do recall Raiden once stating there was a possible threat from the vampire race. Maybe that can be explored.

Frost - Because her existence was how Sub-Zero learned about his past, she does belong somewhere in the story. However, I do feel she must remain with the good guys. Her being evil only fucks her up.

Mokap - First off, shut-up. Second, I truly do wish Mokap gets a revamp. His bio states he is a master of many forms of martial arts, and Cage asked for him personally. If the Cage Man sees something special in Mokap, I think Raiden will too.

Ashrah - As a self-liberated demon, I think Ashrah can prove to be a vital asset to the Forces of Light. No one else on the good side knows evil like she does, and it will make it easier for Raiden and his team to combat it.

Havik - As an agent of Chaos, Havik can be the series' official sewer of discord. Not belonging to either side, he can easily create hardships for anyone, making the story much more fun and interesting.

Onaga - All he really needs is to get rid of the whole "If I can't have Outworld, no one can!" crap, and just focus on getting his realm back.

Sareena - I feel she can be the informant for the Brotherhood of Shadow, at least for one game. Because her existence outside of the Brotherhood is known only to a few, she can easily shift through the lives of other characters without suspicion.

Well, that's it for me. Everyone else on the list can go to hell.

Sareena: She can help Sub-Zero & Scorpion.

Jarek: He can be a cowboy. I'm not sure about him being a good guy... but maybe that can suit him later on.

The only characters I care about seeing again from MK4-MKA are:

Tanya
Kai
Reiko
Fujin
Li Mei
Kenshi
Mavado
Bo Rai Cho
Ashrah
Hotaru
Havik
Sareena

That's it. They are the only ones that I even remotely care about seeing ever again.

Exceptions could be:
Frost (solely because I know other people like her)
Drahmin

Uhh...evil is the ONLY thing Frost has ever been. Even in Deadly Alliance when she debuted, she was depicted as a self-centered bitch just waiting for the right moment to try and usurp power from Subby. That is her entire personality, she has no character except ego and traitorousness.

Yeah, in terms of personality she is a less mature, dumber version of Tanya. Instead of focusing on survival, Frost instead just want more power without even thinking about the consequences. That's why Tanya is smarter, but she's millennia older than Frost and has had more experience, so it makes sense.

That should seriously change, because the dumb braud almost got herself killed trying to be evil. If she can't be good, I don't see her lasting another game.

She can still be evil, but give her some smarts at least.
Well, alot of things should be changed about her, in my opinion.

1. Nitara - probably the most-wanted Post-Trilogy character, yeah it's the age of vampirism for the youth, so why not; have to admit she was a bit fun to play as.

2. Havik - he was very unique and storywise could bring a lot to the table

3. Sareena/Jataaka/and Kia - yes all 3 this time please and not in another Konquest Mode/Adventure Mode only; they've all got great designs but I think Sareena needs to go back to her kama weapons

4. Fujin - There's SO MUCH THEY SHOULD DO WITH HIM that it's sickening!!!

5. Frost - OMG how many Sub Zero-wanna-bees could there possibly be, lol, will soon be a "Where is Waldo" scenario. Storywise she could change to being a good guy.

6. Hotaru - with a few more moves, he could actually be fun to play as

7. Kai - You have to admit, his walking-on-hands was great in MK4 but it needs to return with his full-regular moveset with at least 2-3 other options while walking-on-hands, he could have one sick X-Ray move.

8. Tanya - She had a perfect moveset and would've fit great in MK9, I'd just like to see her boomerang return in MK10

9. Mavado - I don't like his Fatality and I don't like his 2/3 basic moves, he also doesn't need to steal Kabal's hookswords this go around; they need to completely redo his character/gameplay and he might actually be kewl

10. Tremor - well from MK9 he definitely deserves a spot on the next roster, to find out what he'll do after breaking out of prison

The only character I don't want to see come back is Mokap. Not that I have anything against him, he's just a joke character and we already got the joke, so there is no point in redoing it.

Ashrah and Nitara definetly. They are two of my favorite female characters of the 3D era. I love the idea of an ascending demon and the fact that it intertwined with Nitara's storyline just made it all better.

I love that Ashrah was mercilessly killing off the vampires thinking she was doing good all while Nitara was trying to stop her and make her realize what she was doing, but its hard because Ashrah is blinded by being purified and reedeming herself to be good. Who's the bad one? Who's the good one? I hope NRS doesn't change their storyline and if they do, i still want that interaction between them. To me, they were practically (dare I say it?) the Kitana and Mileena of the 3D era. But its hard to define who was who because they were both doing good and bad things. I'm excited for these two characters and their future, I just hope NRS doesn't mess them up too bad and for the love of God please NRS please don't sluttify Ashrah, her MKD alt was great, but thats as far as it should go.

To answer your question, Ashrah.

She is the delivered soul in the series, the demon who saw the light. Despite her clouded judgment, I don't think anyone is more good than her.

To be born into a world that teaches you to be good is one thing, but to be born into a world that harbors and encourages evil, and to be born with evil in your heart, blood, and veins, and you choose to be good, that is a powerful feat.

I do find Ashrah's MKD story to be pretty crappy, but I find the concept of the character to be one of th best character concepts to come out of Mortal Kombat. I think that if they work on her, she could become a great character.

I'll add Ashrah to my list, she was pretty unique and maybe she won't slay so many vampires and we get to see that male one along with Nitara.

At one point wasn't Ashrah even involved with Quan Chi, maybe she's got some tie-in with Kia, Jataaka, and Sareena.

Before Ashrah found Jesus, she and her sisters used to serve Quan Chi.

She eventually left to ascend her life, not sure what happened with her sisters, though.
