I heard that in MK2 Baraka's mask came from a metal/rock band but was edited to make it look different enough to look authentic & originally but for the most still looks a bit like it's original self right.

Well my question is instead of using that mask & design for him what if Ed & Co used this mask instead?

If this was Baraka's face would it make him look much more terrifying & intimidating? This may be a LMFAOL question to some but I just wanted to know your thoughts?

For me I think it would but of course Ed & co would have to edit it a bit in order to again make it look original but for the most part this is a pretty scary face don't you think?

Either that or a Cenobite from Hellraiser. I actually like the Tarkatan look they ended up with and the interlaced pointed teeth are pretty iconic. My only gripe is that typically the Tarkatans aren't shown to be able to close their mouths.

And yet they can still somehow pronounce the letter "P."

A Cenobite from Hellraiser? Interesting, Now how would Baraka's MK2 Face look on a cenobite body with all that black leather? Would it fit right at home lol?

I'll go even further and say that this IS the "Chatterer" from Hellraiser just with visible eye holes and of much lesser quality. Probably why it's called "chatterer-eyes".

Here's the real deal.

Here's the mask you're suggesting.

Well here is the original mask used for Baraka here - http://nekokunyoshi.deviantart.com/art/Mushroomhead-Dinner-Masks-1997-319823311
A Masked used by a group called Mushroomhead called the Dinner Mask back in the day. It's a very good mask & even better after what Ed & John did to it.

I didn't think anybody would have gotten that the mask I should was Chatterer from Hellraiser lol. Reason I didn't state it was because I didn't want people to get a bit butthurt thinking I was saying to replace Baraka's face with Chatterers which I wasn't so I left it unnamed so that people can decided with a open mind. Also I suggest that mask because I figured if Ed & John wanted to create a monster why not get a mask from a horror movie & Chatterer seems closes in design to what was used instead.

Now as far as a "What If?" Ed & John had gotten there hands on the Chatterer 2 mask instead I think they would probably still cut out the eyes just to avoid being sued and they would probably cut off the Gums/Teeth part & add in the nails for teeth like they did for the Dinner Mask. The only thing I'm not sure they would have done was if they would have drawn the eyebrows on it like they did with the Dinner because if you added the Baraka Teeth to the Chatterer 2 mask with cut out eyes making his eye pitch black It would already be scary as ****.

I'll try & Photoshop the Chatterer 2 mask and add the Baraka details and post to see if it would look better but all in all I think the Chatterer 2 mask would have also been a good edition had they had not been able to find The Dinner Mask but still what ED & John did with that Dinner Mask was legendary!!!

Well here it is, I edit the same mask I posted to make it seem as if Ed & John created Baraka out of it, So does it look better that ther original?

Having compared the similarities and differences between the two I prefer the original mask by MK. The only improement would be the top of head, where Chatter mask has an uneven head shape whereas Baraka has a smooth head shape.

To be honest, I kinda wish that Baraka's face (and every other Tarkatan) was different. Seeing them try to talk in 2011 made me laugh because their teeth are so huge, watching them pronounce words that I KNOW would never come out properly was hysterical.

I get what the Tarkatans are, but for them to pronounce words so easily was just bad. They could have had some speech impairment or something, it just didn't sound like they had any problems pronouncing words that includes your mouth to lower at all. Of course, they could still look like what they are, I guess just shrink the teeth a bit.

Come now! Realism is overrated!

Baraka was never meant to be terrifying but rather represent how mutilated Outworld species can be. I am totally happy with the way he looks and any alteration to that isn't really welcomed.

There's a fan theory that Tarkatans have 'inner mouths' that allow them to speak, as well as digest food.

I like this idea, and I tend to keep it in mind whenever I see Baraka speak.
