A ton of fun to play, I loved the cutscenes, but man was the story terrible

-Sindel babyshaking the Earthrealm Heroes
-Some were reduced to punching bag role
-Raiden herp derp moments throughout the Story
-Quan Chi clusterfucking the Timeline

But anyway, back on topic. I actually grew to like Sindel more because of her "kill everyone!" mood swing. I think she's better as a villain than a hero to be honest!

Reptile was handled like shit... Even more if he was a hidden character in the original MK but in this one had to open the tournament it against Cage and losing

Overall way to less love for the bad guys

The good guys where too overhyped... Stryker was overhyped with him beating both Reptile and Ermac... Smoke is able to beat Reptile + Shang even if he fought Kano before... CSZ beating Kintaro + Goro... Seriously

I am not gonna kill the team's efforts and say it sucked. I really enjoyed it... Played it. More than 10 times. If only it wasn't seperated into characters-based chapters, it would be deeper and free of useless sequences.

They really do need to get rid of that everyone can beat everyone thing. There's no point on having characters with these super fantastic backgrounds when they just get beat up by white people in their late 20s.

I don't like how one character (Smoke) beat another (Kitana)only to be beat by the same one that was defeated.

In all fairness, it would probably end up like that episode of American Dad where Roger becomes the office blonde bombshell and tries it on with everyone at the office. He wasn't very successful, bless him.

It's alright.

Despite they'll never do this, and I'll be damned if they ever do, but there should be a chance where one time during story mode, you decide what you want to do, and it effects the story in the end.

Like as Cage, do you want to risk your life in saving Sonya from Kano? Or would you participate in something else?

That's a great idea. I would love if every character who had a chapter had a chance to change the outcome of their chapter.

Im actually playing story mode again. I played it once last year when the game came out. This is my second go around with story mode. I like some of the details they threw in there. Shang's arena at the beginning of story mode looks really cool. I like how he makes his entrance and is escorted by Baraka, Kitana, and Jade. I also like how Kitana and Jade just like to hang out by Shang's and Shao Khan's thrones. Some of the story changes are pretty lame. I think it would have been a much better idea, to just retell the original story of Mortal Kombat through Mortak Kombat three, but just flesh out all the details and plot holes. Fill in everything that just kind of became fan speculation. Make every original story solid with this game.

I will say that probably the worst thing they did was retconning Kitana and Mileena's story. This would have been the best place for NRS to finally make a true canon of the Kitana/Mileena story, since we have very little canon facts on that story, most of it is all fan speculation that has come to be accepted as their story. NRS could have answered questions like, What was Kitana and Shao Khan's relationship like? Was Kitana really favored over the Mileena and Mileena was jealous of Kitana? Those are the most speculated things about their story. I think their new story is pretty much ruined. NRS just kinda took one of the main story/rivalries in this game and cheapened it down a lot and it has very little substance anymore. The story for the next game does not seem promising at all.

I'd like it if the elder gods revived Liu Kang as protector of E/realm for the next game. That and have Jade possessed by mystery aetherial woman. Those could work with story mode's ending.

I didn't like it at all. I would go into detail, but it would make me more upset at the direction of the series. MK2011, didn't come close , to capture the feel of the series. The characters and storyline of the characters were way off.

I think it's epic fail! Bring back Mk Deception's Konquest mode with MKDA konquest story depth and MKA konquest fighting mechanics!

So what you basically want is an adventure game, not a fighting game.

Yes I do :) I want it as a part of the fighting game as well as motor kombat and puzzle kombat!!!!! I mean, that was the true story mode for me.The new one sucks balls big time.Epic fail! Just mumbling and fighting.Nothing more.Mk konques had depth and presented the story in fun and interesting way.The story mode in mk9 i fucking boring!
