Mileena and Rain, huh?
Hmm, well... they both want the throne of Edenia in the later games. Rain because he thinks it is rightfully his, Mileena because she wants what Kitana has. They could team up, have Tanya tag along and take over Edenia...

... Of course it will end up in the three of them fighting over the throne and then killing one another...

Or how about this! Mileena takes over Outworld after Shao Kahn's death, she then helps Rain take over Edenia and work together as allies? I originally had an idea like this, but with Reiko taking over Outworld and then helping Rain, and in between they made sweet, sweet love... but that's never going to happen in the game, only in my mind. ^^

Mileena and Rain have something in common though... They both hate Kitana. And they both wear purple. And they are both mildly insane in each their way... So yeah, I can definately see some potential with getting these two together.

As lovers? No, never. Mileena has Baraka, the only one fierce enough to keep up with her, and Rain is too vain and narcissistic to be with a flawed clone of Kitana. That's how I see them anyways.

Rain deserves the throne more than Mileena! Mileena has the mentality of a 3 year old

I like this idea thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis much. A three way rivalry/alliance between Mileena, Rain, and Tanya would please me greatly.

As for romance... I could really see some kind of twisted romance going on with Mileena and Rain... Like, brutal romance. They conquer the realms while domestically abusing each other and loving it, hehe.

I imagine Mileena taking the throne and driving off anyone who refuses to follower her. Rain then learns he's the son of Argus, makes his own army, and then takes Outworld AND Edenia from Mileena and her Tarkata.

And the body of a... nevermind.
Anyway it's potentially a good idea but I can see Mileena getting the better of Rain in the long run, I say Rain and Tanya should form their alliance again and keep Mileena doing her thing.

Anyways, I do like what Garlador said in his Rain thread about Rain being a loner. He is only on his own side. so if anything, he would use Mileena's hatred for Kitana to get rid of the two so he can take over the throne for himself.

There is just one little issue about this plot... There is no Edenia at the moment. No one has freed it from Outworld yet. Maybe Rain will be responsible for Edenia's independence this time, perhaps?

IF Mileena gets the throne of Outworld, then Rain might become Mileena's enemy as he tries to free Edenia from Outworld and become its ruler...

Alot can be done with this, actually.

I'm reading all these potentially brilliant plots but in the back of mind I fear that Boon may make the poorer decisions, hopefully not, there is plenty of potential that may go to waste.
I like the idea of Rain standing alone and perhaps fighting to restore Edenia and take his place as ruler wether it be against good or evil.

You can pretty much count on it. Boon will almost certainly make many, many poor decisions. MK has a pretty bad plot.... Not as bad as SC, but still....

Ironically, I actually never thought about a story involving both of them..considering she is my fav female and he is my fav male character...lol.. I think that would be interesting tho...but who knows if it'll happen

hmm, well they are both PURPLE. However, there's another purple-clad female who I think would be a better foil or friend to Rain. I think you all know who, and I think we should pester Boon about how her inclusion would help the Rain story.
