First thing I always did is pick Sub-Zero and then beat up Johnny Cage. If Cage is not available, next-goofiest character will suffice.

I'm going to be "completely original" and say Scorpion. Now that I think of it, he was ALWAYS my first choice in every game.

Raiden! Assumign he's unlocked of course. If not, then Kung Lao.

I am of course going to play as Jade as my first character.
If she, and Lords forbid it, doesn't make it to the game, it would be Kitana.

I always pick Scorpion first and learn the game through him.
It's a tradition I started in DA.

Entirely depends. If I'm with a buddy, we'll have a traditional Sub vs. Scorp fight - I'll be Scorpion. Alone, I choose Smoke.

I'll play the crap out of those two until they actually face the screen and tell me to give them a break... at which time I'll move onto Johnny Cage, my boy Khan (hopefully playable), and I'd like to try out Jade.
