I still see Raiden being the main protagonist of the series, especially since we have this "team good vs. team evil" dynamic. Instead of forcing a character down our throats as "the main protagonist", NRS' storywriters should properly develop that character into that role. Forcing the character on us is exactly where the MK team went wrong with Shujinko and Taven.

I'd like to see Havik fight on the side of light.

Not in the follow about Raiden and venture across outworld way, but maybe someone they go to for help.

After all if Shinnoks Invasion is successful and he acquires total rule where's the Chaos in that?

That'd be really interesting.

He'd probably be a good ally too, up until they actually defeat Shinnok.

I would wholeheartedly approve of Kung Lao returning from the dead no longer a douche and taking an active leadership role the way he should have long ago.

Actually,it would be PERFECT time for Kung Lao to change towards personality he had during original timeline,where he doesn't want to fight and just live peacefully,because I would think his own death at Shao Kahn's hands should have a significant influence,he will understand that he is NOT invincible and that was never meant to be the Chosen One,as opposed to Liu Kang. He should find his own destiny and purpose in life,or some shit like that...

But of course,he won't sit still,because of the new threat coming and how his friends will be under danger,so he can't sit out.

I really want to see a reflushing of Fujin, Kai, and Jarek. I thought the MK4 introductees, with the excpetion of Tanya, never played a large enough role in then following games. And despite my absolute hatred of Kai, someone has to fill the Lui Kang role, both storywise and gameplaywise. Fujin, perhaps, could actually serve as a third rival. Distrusting of Raiden after what occured on his watch, while still trying to combat the forces of Shinnok. Jarek, on the otherhand, needs to be more of a bastard. Like a dark, deadly, evil, Johnny Cage. I'd love to see him acting more like an undisciplined, younger, Kano..

Meh, I've always found that the only character trait Jarek has that separates him from Kano and makes him interesting on his own is he's LESS of a bastard than Kano.

Kano's the guy who looked at an invasion and said "Sure Skeletor, I'll help you take over Earth."

Jarek's the guy who looked at an invasion and said "Hey Sonya, stop punching me for a sec. Given the choice between you and The Fucking Devil, I pick you."

Personally, that's what I'd bring into focus if I were revitalizing him. The fact that maybe this guy could be turned, like Kabal minus the physical handicap gimmick. Sort of end up with him developing into a rugged asshole antihero Wolverine/Punisher type, y'know?
That's one of the few classic character archetypes MK doesn't really have, everybody on the good guys' side always gets along with one another and even the ones with criminal or assassin backgrounds never act morally conflicted or even grouchy. None of them are the ol' "guy in a leather jacket with stubble who thinks he's a badass and won't do what the leader tells him" cliché.
Scorpion used to have shades of that, but ever since Shaolin Monks, they keep retconning him into being a full-on villain.

I really hope they go heavily down the route of kang becoming a god and tsung being powered up by souls to fight for the elder gods.

Also the whole Kahn bending the rules of the elder gods they way he did. ive had alot of thoughts about. I think it would be cool if the rules being broken in such away to send the realms into chaos brinking the rise of the chaos realm and then the order vs chaos thing could reapear.

But nearly above everything i want this game to be dark. the bad guys need to rul the realms in the chaos times to be sorted out 1 even 2 games later and evil will be repressed

on other thoughts ive had are. with kang and raiden being the way they are maybe fijin should become gaudian of earth realm and kai to be his champion. that would be kind of cool. but fujin could have the choice of a good few decent fighters. kabal would have been a good one i think. and sonya or cage. cage more so coz of that anciant power thing he has. night wolf? hes pretty awesome. i love the idea of kano coming to the front more and doing black dragon stuff out from tsungs shadow.

ermac now being controled mainly by the edenian guy. to see edenia gain its position back as one of the promanant realms. rebuilding after un merging with outworld.

Raiden can kill Shinnok because honestly, that's his top nemesis. Liu Kang has no place in the fight between gods/former gods

Since the upcoming will be set in the MK4 timeline, lets say he will survive, leading on into the deadly alliance period, to when Quan Chi and Shang Tsung spare him. One word for Reptile: Deception. Possibly, in the Deception Timeline, would Reptile be Onaga?

They should include Khameleon because she was in MK3/Trilogy but they put in Quan Chi from 4. I love Quan Chi though, and he would make a great boss making him much harder in DA timeline

*It could be Kabal* Ending states he becomes more powerful, and in Story Mode, he wasn't standing with the Zombies in Netherrealm (was he?). I don't know if Stryker was either, and Nightwolf and Sindel are both dead remember.
