Well, back in 2004 my friend had Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance on his GameCube, so yeah. We got bored of Smash Bros, so I asked him what other fighting games he had, and he said Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance, and a few other titles.
Now, being the hardcore kid I thought I was, I wanted to play it just because it had the word "deadly" in it.
The first time, he said that Sub-Zero was his favorite character, so he chose Sub-Zero. I thought Reptile looked cool, so I chose him.
First impression when I punched him was; "ERMAHGERD DIS GAME HAS BLOOD IN IT AND I'M PLAYING IT I'M SO FUKKIN HARDCORE", and yeah, that's how I came to love MK.

I started playing MK at a very young age. So the characters and the story were lost on me. For me it was the gameplay. I just remember having a blast playing UMK3 with my dad. And hearing Scorpion yell "GET OVER HERE" was like the most amazing thing to me back then.
I would say the characters and story are what kept me interested in the series as I got older.

When I was really little I saw my parents play MK, MK2 ,and UMK3 on the sega genesis a lot, so I did too.
They were the first video games I ever played and I loved them, always have, always will.

To be honest it was the names of the fighters. Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Reptile, Shinnok, i thought these were the coolest names i had ever heard in my entire 10 years of existence. So the names of these crazy looking fighters is what made me a die hard fan. And what sealed the deal was when i died and went to the continue screen and fell into the bed of spikes in MK4.

Eleventh Question:
Scorpion
Twelfth Question:
Watch a lot of power ranger back then. Love things that made me feel like a fighter. Street Fighter included. After PR, fighting was me, mk just let me kill the opponent.

12th: You know I'm not sure. Maybe it was that VGA trailer back in 2010 with Kratos revealed because God of War III was the hype for me back then before MK came into my life. Once I say it was a pseudo-reboot of the original MK timeline, I decided to check out the MK Wikia for the storyline and I got sucked into the characters immediately especially Scorpion's. I also checked out all the MK endings on Youtube so it somewhat spiked my interest.

how incredibly dark and gritty Mortal Kombat X is. I always wanted a serious menacing Mk game rather than its somewhat funny cartoony past.

The amount of effort NRS are putting in from the little details all the way to epic stuff like Scorpion's fatality and Raiden's X-ray move.

What has been the best thing you've seen for Mortal Kombat X?
The X-rays are pretty kick-ass thus far.

Oops Missed a few, here goes.
5. What is your favorite arena? Sky Temple from Deception.
6. What is your favorite stage fatality? Dead Pool, simple but effective.
7. You are fighting Goro, the object to your left is the only weapon you can use. What is that object? A plastic pig... I'm effed!
8. Create a fatality for your LEAST favorite character. Can't think but it's Dairou either way. XD
9. If you can ask Ed Boon anything, what would you ask him? Any jobs at NRS?
10. Does Ermac really exist? Yes and No. O.o
11. If you can finally end the rivalry, who would be the ultimate victor, Scorpion or Sub-Zero? Sub-Zero, tough choice though.
12. What made you interested in Mortal Kombat? I wasn't properly into MK until Trilogy and in that game I loved all the different "-alities" there were.
13. What has been the best thing you've seen for Mortal Kombat X? The detail in the x-rays and fatalities has been improved so much since MK9 when I thought they couldn't get any better.
I wanted some new art for my walls so got a Raiden canvas to go with my MK9 and MKA canvases. I love it! I hope there is more awesome MKX art to come.

Fatalities, X Rays and Variations
The first MK game I played was MK2 for Sega Genesis. It was at some point in the early to mid 1990s. I was probably four to seven years old, somewhere in there. My older brother's friend had it and we used to play it at his house. So I got my mom to buy me the first MK since I had not played it yet. From then on I have always been an MK player. Now I'm feeling nostalgic, where did the damn time go? That was twenty years ago. Lol

Sweet.
Is that an elliptical on the left there?

I like it all so far, I don't think there is one single thing that has impressed me more than the other, the whole thing looks fantastic to me.

The "dark and gritty" design finally happened. It was promised before MKvsDC if any old forum members remember.
1. Sektor.
2. Mortal Kombat 3 (SNES).
3. Mortal Kombat: Deally Alliance.
4. Chess Kombat.
5. Lost Tomb (MKDA).
6. Pit (MK1).
7. BFG.
8. Chameleon freezes opponent and then spews acid on him. At the same timeas acid makes it work, he shoots several lightning bolts at the enemy. It could be called: "What a mess!!"
9. n/a
10. No. Why I feel like an Akinator?
11. Sub-Zero (Bi-Han).
12. Story.
13. Almost everything.

The single best thing I've seen about the game is the detail. NRS has put an insane amount of detail in the game. The stages all look amazing and have great effects. The Snow Forest's snow, the Kove's waves, Outworld Marketplace's dirt, and the Jungle's lighting and water effects.
Plus the intro dialogue is especially great. Really helps give characters personality and a great way to reflect story mode interactions.
