It's not. The press got to play the first chapter, they weren't just given cryptic screenshots. Various sources said the first chapter follows the good guys through the Netherealm War. The good guys, they specifically state, are Johnny, Sonya, Kenshi, Fujin, and Raiden. Kung Lao is still dead. Read before posting pls

What the hell though, Earth, Fire, and Water never get any kind of burn. I know Sub-Zero fought them but they couldn't have been dead permanently, Raiden (In Deception) and Fujin(came back from SZ:M in time for 4) both came back pretty easily.

Fujin looks to have a brand new design. I hope he's playable. I can see him being an unlockable for sure.

Well it's cool they show Smoke, Stryker, Sindel Kabal, etc as NPCs at the very least. I wonder if Jade got sacrificed or something if she's not showing up.

Either way I'm expecting to see most of them to return in a game or two regardless.

Yeah, I'm sad about his hair too. I know he only had it like that in one game, but that long braid grew on me. Like Raditz's hair.

Yeah, I was hoping they made an appearance. I think Bi-Han killed them, but they would have just respawn. I expect them to at least have a cameo with an updated look.

I have a feeling they'll make Fujin DLC, if he isn't on the main roster of course.

OK, here's my issue regarding Fujin. I wanna believe he and Rain are playable now. The demo that was shown off to the press had Jacqui, Takeda & Kung Jin selectable as well as Johnny and Sonya. IGN also mention there were still a lot of blacked out roster spots when they got their hands on the game so one can assume they played the same build. So does that mean there are more characters than we thought or are they only counting Jax, Kenshi, Erron, Shinnok & Liu as "a ton of blacked out spaces" cause last I looked, 5 ain't a ton. 5 is a few.

He looks bland and uninteresting as usual. Hopefully he doesn't waste a DLC spot. Reiko, Noob Saibot, and Havik for DLC please.

I love how you can tell all of that from the back of his head with most of his costume detail covered by burn marks. Bias much?
