And I think it is a terrible idea, no offense. Mortal Kombat should not have guest stars, the ways they try to fit them into the Soul Calibur series is bad enough.

I really wouldnt mind seeing Lobo from DC comics. Having a dc character as a character seems feasible considering mk is part of WB now and they already did MK vs DC.

I can understand everyone frustration on the idea of guest characters though.

Maybe some of the War Gods characters.

Kratos would be a perfect fit for mortal kombat.

Normally I would just say no. But I cant help thinking Bayonetta would be an awesome character to appear in a MK.

*Thrill Kill (banned game): Belladonna and a few more others from the game.

*Street Fighter: Cammy, Chun Li, Ken, Ryu, Bison, Sagat, Blanka, and Guile.

No guest characters. It was dumb in Soul Calibur IV, it would be dumb in MK8.

Wow really i don't think you guys should bash this thread. Although i wouldn't really want guest characters it is still an idea to toy with if it WERE to happen, and what type of characters fit. I'm just glad this is the first time SF hasn't talking about sticking something up someone's ass...

If there were to be some type of fun DLC guest characters i wouldn't mind seeing:

Kain or Raziel (From the LoK series)

Carnage or Venom: I know there Capcom does marvel but i think the MK team would do a wicked ass Venom or Carnage.

Is Tekken Tag the same thing as Tekken 4? And does that make Tekken 4 actually Tekken 5? I'm not trying to be a wise-ass, but the same logic is being utilized when calling the next MK "Mortal Kombat 9."

As for the topic, I don't mean to bash the thread-maker. I can see why people would want guests characters, and I'm not trashing anyone who does.

I just want to make my vote VERY clear to the developers who read these posts.

i rather there not be any guest appearances, but instead of being close-minded and just say no, i'll give this some thought, besides, topic poster specifically said "give me your ideas". not "so, yes or no?". no fun when a bunch of douches just scream "no!!" hmm...marcus fenix could be like Jax's new antagonist or something...but taking away guns and giving him actual combat moves would be kinda tricky. ohhh man...but i know damn sure that his lancer would be involved in his fatalities.....that would be really damn good....

albert wesker has the balls to hang with mk folks too, i always felt that he is waaaay too overpowered, even in his pre-uroburos state. i mean, he could've annihilated chris anytime he wanted, but the writers just made him a cocky douche bag. but this cockiness would so fit in an mk game....hell, maybe as a fatality, he could inject himself with something, grow a big ass monster arm and fuck shit up....could be a new spin on animalities....

hmm, thats just about all i can think about just from glancing at my game collection...i might have some more during the day though.

i agree not to have guest characters but if i were to humor the idea i could think of a few i would like to see in MK just once....

I'm not a big fan of the guest character concept, but from a marketing standpoint I can understand why Soul Calibur did it, and why Mortal Kombat might be tempted to do the same. It would probably tie into DC, so truthfully, someone from that universe would be the best. Preferably not a character that seems so out of place, though. Lobo, for example, could work and almost have his character intergraded into the MK universe.

Besides that, Kratos would actually make an interesting cross-over character, I'd have to say. I can't see him appearing in too many games, but if they worked him in somehow, it would be...intriguing. He's becoming such a video game icon that it could move copies, which is all a move like this does.

The Killer Instinct characters are the only other ones I could think of -- and maybe some Unreal ones. I dunno. I'd stay away with it, but I can see the business upside.

I'm going to add characters from the Twisted Metal series. Not all, but some. Sweet Tooth, and *damn i forgot their names* the motorcycle dude.
