I believe we have our main menus

These are all very beautiful and set different moods for what MKX is to each player, so I like the added customization.

Personally, I like the White Lotus one the most because it has that really dark, yet mystical tone I like in my MK games. Just add some thunder and lighting and it's practically MK Deception's main menu. And that little smoking lion statue looks awesome. I'm not a fan of the faction itself, but I may have to roll with it.

The Black Dragon stage in particular is interesting to me. It seems like the torture of several captured American soldiers is going on in the background, which is kinda dark, even for MK. Also, the foreground object makes it seem like they switched the yellow Kano variation to a blue-colored one.

It's also worth noting that the Lin Kuei, White Lotus and Brotherhood stages have been confirmed as playable arenas within the game, so it's safe to say the other two will as well. That tank in particular's gotta be used as a stage interactable or fatality, right?

Will the look of a particular main menu influence your faction choice?

I'm super torn between Lin Kuei and White Lotus based on the Main Menus alone, i'm not partial to any faction really. but they all have something unique about them and give off that MK feel except for Special Forces it scream way too much Battlefield or Call of Duty but I understand the need for representation of them.

The Lin Kuei and White Lotus have the best backgrounds.

Special Forces and Black Dragon backgrounds are kinda boring and the BoS background is ok.

But yeah the menu is gorgeous. And I can't wait to see the stage in full detail. I'm hoping it's the Wu Shi Academy.

I wanted something similar to deception's menum it would fit this game perfectly. But these arent bad i like the white lotus and lin kuei ones.
Faction choices are killin me, is it a one time thing that you choose? I'm torn on Lin Kuei and White Lotus for sure.

You choose every week I believe.

They also said in an interview that factions won't have an advantage based on how many people join. So in other words, coming to this board and trying to get everyone to join the Black Dragon for a week isn't going to automatically make the black dragon win.

My speculation is that points earned for your team will be scaled according to how many people are in one faction.

Example


Black Dragon has 20 members, each member completes a task gaining 2pts a piece earning 40 points.

White lotus has 10 members, each compete a task but they would get 4 pts a piece, netting 40 points.

The Lin Kuei one is by far the best. Kind of disappointed in the Brotherhood of Shadow one. Was hoping for a sweet Netherrealm inspired menu.

Damn.... I'm picking Black Dragon and the background isn't that sweet. Makes me want to pick Lin Kuei or Brotherhood of Shadow because they're backgrounds look so great.

New Destructoid article claims you can change factions, but you forfeit all rewards you've earned from that faction in doing so, plus you can't change until the current war is over in order to stop people from switching sides to the winning faction.

The Brotherhood of Shadow. It's not that I don't like some of the other backgrounds (White Lotus is great) but I am a sucker for skulls and jars(?) of creepy shit.

When I personally think of MKX, this is the main menu I envision when I start up the game.

You might not be stuck with the background/menus of your own faction.

I remember the first article mentioning this feature, stating they would change depending on who was currently leading...or something of the sort.

That may be the case, but, GAH, I hope not. I don't want to be stuck looking at the Special Forces menu for a week. Guess that'll work as incentive to make sure my faction wins.
