I don't think gods have sex or rule by basic urges that humans are ruled by. Other than that, the idea is pretty stupid. To me anyway. Besides i doubt midway reads any mail like that. Who at midway did you send it to?

It's kinda like Hercules' story. Son of a God, and a mortal woman. Now that I think about it, Zeus, and Raiden are both quite similar in powers and status.

Is it that you dislike my theory, or that you just dislike Rain himself? I'm trying to give him a good story, as people complain about his current story.
At least I'm making an effort at improving him, unlike the people who just say he sucks, giving little more reason than "he wears purple, he's gay".

Now Im with you on trying to help the MK universe, atleast its not like your tyring to bring back Stryker. Man I hated him! But Rain being Raidens son might not work since the gods may not do sex, if they did why arent there anymore gods? And remeber that Rain was just created because of the exploitation of the Scorpion skin in UMK3, just like Ermac except he was a rare glitch in MK1 and Midway decided to make him a real character.

Man, this has turned into a whole Sex Ed thing now. Rain and Raiden sort of do fit each other, and I personally would love any excuse to bring him back. This is a good idea, and maybe the Midway team will read it, once it passes the secretary, geeky guy, assistant, another assistant, inspector maybe, and finally Boon. I doubt he will read it.

Dude your wrong about Ermac and the rare glich in MK1..your thinking of Reptile...Ermac,Rain,Reptile,Smoke and Noob were all more skins strickly on more memory in the games MK1...reptile...MK2..Smoke and Noob,MK3....Ermac and Rain even though they did not appear as a playable character in MK3.UMK3 Ermac becomes playable as well as human Smoke while holding down the buttons and back before the match started and Ermac you had to unlock by typing in the ULTIMATE KOMBAT KODE...one of three.And its not until MK Trilogy that all the ninjas become playable....This includes Rain,Ermac,Sub-Zero,Noob, Human Smoke and Robo-Smoke,Reptile,Scorpion,cyber ninjas Cyrax and Sektor as well.AKA Mustard and Ketchup!!!!!

I think that your idea of the Rain story is not possible because of his story line..hes from Edenia as mentioned before,Raiden from Earth realm or at least created by the Elder Gods for Earth realm.........but in the MK unverse you never know????
I want to see rain back as well.....i just played Trilogy saw his ending and he sides with the chosen warriors and Kitana to defeat Kahns minions...afterwards he mysteriously dissapears.
Hes definitely eligible to come back...the only thing i want is for Rain to come back GOOD like Ermac did.

I like the idea. And people saying "gods" having sex or not is pure speculation, because nothing about it has never been stated. Midway still have room for this, because almost nothing is said about the "gods".

If Raiden had sex with a mortal and she gave birth to Rain, then it'll change drastically the story for mk7 and add a lot of importance to Rain and Raiden, something many fans want, and I think Midway will at least consider your letter Tetra_Vega.

Only time will tell if they accepted it. But hey, don't lose hope: they did it for Ermac and Sindel, they can do it for Rain !

I'm sorry, but I really don't like that idea, not that it's much worse than SOME of the stories that Midway makes up...

Ermac was never involve with gods or sex in any way or form...Sindel was reborn due to Shao-Kahn,but Ermac is a force of souls merged into one being called Ermac......don't mind me im Ermacs biggest fan!!!!!!!!!!!

I would like to see Rain return but not in that form. Raiden should not be Rain's father. I liked Rain's whole story on how he was tied in with Shao Kahn and Kitana. I could picture Rain returning from his hiding place after many years and attempts to win over the respect of princess Kitana by becoming a general in her armies.

The key word that I want implemented for Rain is "Redemption" and that is redemption from his cowardice on serving Shao Kahn and running away from death at his hands when he helped Kitana before. Rain could have mabey a love interest in Kitana and he is in the shadow of Liu Kang. It would be cool to see him as the underdog instead of playing the role of the hero. Rain could be underestimated by Kitana but in his ending it would show how Rain rose up to the challenge and earned his respect in Edenia.

Having Rain as a demi god would not fit well with his previous story. Rain was a coward in the past who joined sides with the stronger team because he didn't want to die at the hands of the emperor. But during Trilogy he had made a stand but disapeared shortly after. If Rain knew he was half god he would have had a whole different personality. Stick to Edenia with him.

I'm not wrong about Ermac. In MK1 there was a rare glitch with Scorpion in which he would turn red with Ermac in the health bar. Ermac stood for Error Marrco. In ultimate MK 3 Midway decided to make him a real character now that they had ninja spirirts to work with.

Midway made Scorpion by popular demande from fans, then when they realized they could add more ninja's all they had to do was change the color and add minor features to the mask and face. Why else were there no true ninja's in MK3?

Also about the Lin Kuei cyborgs, they were going to turn Scopion into the yellow android but thought that idea was a little lacking but decided to keep him. I don't know the story behind Sektor, maybe he was to be what Ermac was but scrapped that idea. Maybe the original idea was to say that Ermac was a Lin Kuei. I guess this answers my above question, right?

I actually like the idea of Rain being the son of Rayden. Sounds interesting and has potential IMO.

It could be somewhat biblical, like Jesus and the Virgin Mary, like The two edenian peeps never actually did it or something like that. Rain could be a backup weapon against *insert MK boss* that went soewhat awry....Maybe they should make it somewhat central to MK7. Think of the possibilities.
