Why Othello?

Coldstone, from Gargoyles was a cyborg with 3 souls that variously took control.
I vaguely remember Othello & Iago mentioned the series when I was a kid, but after looking it up, they're apparently only nammed such in production notes.
Tri-Borg reminded me of Coldstone already, and then the other day, someone wrote about the possibility of the 3 personalities possibly fighting for control. Might've been in the "Who could Tri-Borg be?" thread. Not sure.
