I think that going for something a bit more modernized, but in the spirit of some of these would be great. I still remember most reviews praising MK9 right up until the music, which some said was forgettable, but a few said was downright terrible.

I hope that they can get this in order for the next game. I'd love to hear something memorable again from these games music-wise.

As for KAK, I'd love to see it return. I don't see it as a gimmick to sell games at all. Who would honestly say "I wasn't going to buy MK until I realized that I could create characters."

I hope that they take the Soul Calibur approach. TONS of customizable outfit options and pieces (no ridiculous crap though) and tons of pre-made character styles, stances, throws and move lists complete with specials. I'd freakin love that.

I'd still love to have a Kreate a Tournament mode where you could keep these created characters separate from the real cast, write your own bios and endings on pre-made templates, choose a ladder style, select screen and versus pics all from pre-made templates. All of this could be unlocked as you progress in other modes or earn koins etc.

Just my 2 cents, but if done right, a mode like this could extend my enjoyment of the game for months after I've beaten story, arcade etc.

I'm cool with that, as long as MK10 gets released first.

I thought most of the leakage from MK2011 was that after the Demo was released, people somehow went into the files from that and found out basically everything about the game. I remember the thread, staying up til like 4 AM (stupidly) reading the entire plot of the story mode, and listening to the compilation someone put together of all the audio files that play before a fight in the story mode. Either way, I really REALLY hope that no leakage happens this time around, for the sake of the developers. I remember disappointment being chief among those feelings among those at NRS.

In regards to the discussion on music, I always felt that MK2 had the best soundtrack. I'd love to see more in the style of that game. I don't mean to say songs ripped straight out of the game. I wouldn't be opposed to remixes, but I'd like to hear new stuff based on the feel of MK2's soundtrack.

Can't wait till Monday! Hope we get a nice trailer that shows what kind of next gen goodness we can expect and not just a reveal image.

Also, calling it now. This MK will have a Konquest mode. There have been way too many retweets by boon asking people what their favourite part of MK:Deception were when their answers were Konquest.
