A ninja from hell doesn't go with White at all. Gold yes. And I really like Scorpion's Injustice look and want makeovers for other ninjas like that. I'm gonna add Rose Gold back to my ninja's design. RazorsEdge said he liked it better.

That's the whole point. He wouldn't be from hell anymore. The Elder Gods would make him human and make him their champion. Again, I'm not saying that this should be his permanent look. But as Hanzo, a human warrior fighting for the Gods, perhaps to get his family back, it'd be cool to give him something after years of being duped and seeking revenge against the same people.

But then I'd want his story to take a turn, he'd lose due to treachery, the Gods would cast him back down to hell with a new path, a new story and a battle for vengeance against a new foe. One ninja spectre against the gods? I'd be intrigued. But that's just me.

I want to see some bold moves for the next MK. As much as I loved MK9, I want to see them go forward from the original trilogy with a lot of new characters, redone post MK3 characters (that are relevant to the story) and the best, boldest, most updated versions of original trilogy characters possible.

They kinda already did that in MK Deception/Armageddon though.

If they bring Reptile back, there has to be a way to bring back Zaterra from Outworld so that his saurian race can live on.

And give him a cobra look and get him to speak!

What of Smoke? Since he's an enenra he can be brought back.

And Raiden? He should lose his godly powers and be reduced to a mere mortal... but still has his thunder powers.

Zaterra could definately be free from Outworld now that Shao Kahn is dead, but Reptile, and possibly Khameleon, are still the only Saurians alive. So either they need to get together and do a hell lotta breeding to make some babies, or something like Reptile's Arcade Ladder ending should occur.

Smoke is currently in Quan Chi's control. And I've talked a bit about Raiden in my Fujin explanation. I'd rather Raiden got the boot and Fujin took over as Earthrealm's protector.

Did what already? Advance the story with new characters? I liked how bold they were with the ideas of that game, I just wasn't a huge fan of how some of it turned out. I guess this time, I'd have have more faith in NRS to advance the story in a new direction with better characters all around.

No no, I meant with Scorpion. He became the Champion of the Elder Gods with the promise of his clan being revived should he succeed in defeating the Dragon King. However, because it was Shujinko who killed Onaga, the Elder Gods took Scorpion's position away from him and only raised his clan as undead in his image, making Scorpion furious at the Elder Gods and then sought revenge on them as well.

It's kinda what you described above, just with a few changes.

Nice list, I agree on all points. Could also definitely see Havik and Hotaru getting in on the fight. Possibly Kai too, I really want to play as him on his hands again, such memories and gameplay potentials there to stand out from the pack.



If they can't make her interesting enough to be in the main roster, I still wanna see her as DLC. Something about her look always appealed to me. She definitely has potential.

And if they decide to fully bring back Chaosrealm and Orderrealm and characters from the two, I hope to God they drop those names and just call them Seido and something else; like Edenia, just a name is fine, everything doesn't need 'realm' at the end of it.

And what of the cyborgs Cyrax & Sektor? Wish Cyrax joined the good guys after and Sektor might take over the Lin Kuei when he kills his father. But... the Tekunin... if Sub-Zero came back somehow and regains his humanity, he'll have to fight Sektor to take over the role.

Speaking of Sub-Zero, either Kuai Liang returns to regain his humanity from his cyber prison or a new Sub-Zero returns to avenge both brothers and can be faster like Scorpion. In fact the new one should take Kuai's scar.

What u are forgetting is that Scorpion is a neutral character and that's the best thing about him, whoever pisses him off gets burned. Although I'd like to see New designs for characters, this just goes overboard, I was suggesting runway (fashion) for females and was getting a lot of stick. I've not given up on those designs I think it makes more sense than giving Scorpion a makeover as the female ninjas in MK are like part of royalty society.

Yes, how canon is that? Obviously not the latter part about his ruling Edenia with Sindel and Kitana is not canon. But is King Jerrod really one of the souls that makes up Ermac?

I can't decide if it would be cool or not if something like that happened in the next game. I apologize for not remembering what happened to Ermac in story mode, I only played through it once. I'm assuming Ermac survived story mode, if he didn't then disregard this: Jerrod really is in there somewhere and takes over Ermac, resurrects Sindel and Kitana somehow and rescues them, Jade too I guess, maybe he remembers her from when she was a baby, Jade's parents were in the Edenian aristocracy or something right? Anyway, they all try to get Edenia back from Shao Kahn or Shinnok, or whoever. Rain and Tanya could possibly get involved in this story somehow too.

Oh! Haha! Alright, I gotcha now. But yeah, you're exactly right! I thought that it'd be cool to do a variation on that plot line. Instead of enlisting him to take on the DK, he'd be taking on Shinnok, Quan Chi and perhaps some people that he didn't expect to be enemies, especially some under Quan Chi's control.

Of course, that layer of his character is never really even implied in the past, but given that he's been in hell, he's suffered, perhaps a sort of conflict can come from this.

I guess what I'm getting at is an idea turned on it's head, altered by the new timeline and maybe taken a bit further (look, name, moves etc). I'd kinda like to see this with some other characters, like Drahmin for example.

I still want to see him go through Quan Chi's chamber and come out changed, but I'd really want to see his story, who he serves (if anyone), who he sides with etc kinda changed up and then see where his change takes him.

It appears to be canon that Ermac is created by the souls of the fallen warriors of Edenia, there in King Jerrod as well. Whether or not Jerrod will arise and take over Ermac is yet to be seen.

Ermac's last battle was with Cyber Subbie who defeated him. That's the last we saw of him.

And yes, Jade's parent's swore allegience to Shao Kahn and gave him their daughter, Jade, as tribute. Kahn then trained her to become an assassin.

Probably smart of them to do that, they might not have survived otherwise.

What would they do with Tanya though? Is she there to betray someone? I think JR suggested Reiko if I'm not mistaken. That could be an interesting pair. I could see her politicking for a place of power in Outworld.

I'm not sold by her move set, as there doesn't seem to be anything signature about it (to me at least), and I kinda hope she's not just the chick in yellow going forward, but I see a lot of potential in what she could be capable of from a plot progression standpoint and what she could ultimately be capable of to further her own ambitions.

She seems like one of the few, non-boss villains that's not just henchmen, but a calculating, cunning, string puller. I dunno, maybe I'm projecting too much potential on to her, but I think that she can do more than deceive. She could have some Lady Macbeth qualities and that alone intrigues me.

I agree with some of the choices but i would substitute others...
Fujin, sareena, tanya, frost, kai, ashrah and reiko i agree 1000%. Im surprise that fujin and reiko really haven't been in a mk game other than four and armageddon, I think both would be a welcome addition to the rebooted mk games. With kai i argee that mk should expand on culture diversity its true people only come from the states or china to enter the tournament would be cool if they expand the other cultures and now that both liu kang and kung lao are dead (for now) kai can be our main protagonist. Sareena would be a great addition as well serving as quan chi servant and again haven't seen her except armageddon and sub zero mythos. i agree with frost only for story purpose now that both sub zeros are down for the count but wasn't a big fan of hers but netherrealm studios have a chance to change that...and ashrah truth be told i pretty much hated all of the new addition of deception but now the new play style and going back to the basics ashram could prove to be interesting plus her back story states that she was in demon form before she found the sword....
ok so i agree with most of your choices (seven of them) but now I'm going to put three that I NEED to see in the next game.
-lei mei: I loved deadly alliance roster...pretty all of the new character were great except for his hsu hao (and mokap but i don't really count him). but lei mei was one of the new addition that i fell in love with...i loved all her move set like when she run and jumps in the air and hit you like ten times and she had moves that you can juggle into a combo...i like her storyline as well she was the underdog but radien took her in because he needed people although i hated that in deception she was turned bad they can easily change that in the new game, they can make her into the main protagonist if they want and throughout the whole her being underestimated but it was her how ended shinnok's plan...and i mean lei mei is badass.
-Bo rai cho: For some reason i really liked this guy more than i should maybe because he didn't fit into the typical mk character or maybe it was the fart noises (want to point out i was 10 at the time). However i do think they need to change it up if they do included him...i still want him to be the big burly guy but make him serious so no puking, or farting attacks. maybe incorporate his love for alcohol somehow but i would to see in the next game.
-havik: So ill repeat what i said before i pretty hated all of the new characters from deception except for one person and that is...havik. he has this mysterious badass to him and like scorpion he has no alliance to anyone but himself...his move set was interesting and different (and gross but in a cool way) he is definitely the wild card in the story would he be in the good side or bad side (he loves chaos so either one works).
So there are my ten choices for the new game. I would also like to see some brand new characters that never have been in the series but maybe like 3 or 4 brand new characters the rest should be returning (just in case those new ones are duds). And a special shout out to kira i would like to her return but if she doesn't it won't bother me too much.

In the new timeline Sektor's Lin Kuei can take place of the Tekunin.
And I honestly don't see why people want the old story to be repeated. I hope NRS will come up with something new.

I dunno how many people want to see the old story actually "repeated." I don't mind seeing some characters in similar roles, but for different reasons. Or even unfamiliar roles thanks to the timeline hijinks.

However, on the whole, I want to see the story go in a new direction, even if it seems like it might be starting in a familiar place.

I want more new characters and a story that's as much Shinnok rising as it is the consequences of the alternate timeline and what happened. I tend to believe that NRS purposely killed off a lot of characters to get to this point in the story, though that's admittedly just a guess.

Something tells me that NRS might go a little outside the box this time with the story and characters now that they presumably have the time, skill, tech and the place in the arc carved out to really craft the game that they want to make and the story they want to tell.

With that kind of opportunity, I can't imagine them deciding on telling the same old story and honestly, I wouldn't want them to.

I for one don't want to see the same things happen again. If Sektor returns I want him to meet Hotaru.

I mean in the old timeline Sektor developed the tekunin and wanted to take over the world. The cyborgs obey ORDERS completely because it's in their AI to do so.

Now, I don't want Hotaru to become a cyborg, but say he theoretically meets Sektor and decides that the best way for his army to follow orders is if they are forced to do so. I think this could be an interesting team up.

Your sig reminded me of just how amazing Jade's primary was in Deception. I also loved Sub-Zero's cryo-armor (shredder gear). I think Deception had a great direction lookwise for several characters and hope that some of these looks return.

I'd like to see the story go different directions as well. It already has to some point.

And yeah, though I liked Jade's MKD alt more, because of the hair. ^^

I'd prefer after Shinnok's war (since they already gave the hint of it going that way) we got something new. Hell, maybe Shinnok can even win and take over Earthrealm somehow and leave us with a cliffhanger ending? I'd just prefer something different to set this game apart from the others and take us in a very new direction, storywise. And maybe later Dragon King could come back but even later than the original timeline or through some other means. Maybe try their hand at a new boss character or something.

While I do want a lot of these characters we're discussing to come back, it would be pretty awesome if we could get some new characters sprinkled in. If they can come up with some people that match up to Kenshi, Bo Rai Cho, Skarlet, Fujin, Tanya, Ashrah, ect. then I'd be pretty damn well pleased.

This is a shit list. None of these guys sell games, the ongoing fanboy boner for Tremor notwithstanding.
