I liked Hotaru's look (both his main and alt outfits), but yeah, his moves were weak; a ground fireball using Sub Zero's ground freeze animation and what was more or less Liu Kang's bicycle kick.

However, moves don't matter to me that much, as those could easily be fixed. What really prevents me from liking Hotaru is the fact that I despise the Order/Chaos realm plot line.

It's too many realms, and it's just way too on the nose. I'm sure others will disagree, but I just thought that whole part of the story was bad writing. It'd be like having Outworld be called Evilrealm.

Kinda the main reason why I hope Havik never returns. Sorry to disparage characters that others like. Just one opinion here.

You can create new moves to replace bad moves. You can update a crappy old look and make it better. You can even use the alt timeline to give a boring character a better story going forward. It's much harder to make a bad background in to a good one, as that's pretty much who they are.

A mix-up in the factory one-of-a-kind statue nicknamed "Khrome" occurred in prototype stages for Pop Culture Shock's 1:4 Scale Human Smoke statue.

All I did was change it up.

The real problem is, is that MK is lacking female kombatants!

These are the females whom appeared in the MK fighting games throughout the saga.
Excluding MKA and MKvsDC (of course), 7/15 of the females only appeared in one fighting game. I'm also excluding Sareena from the hand-held version she was in.
I would like to see those (7) whom are Skarlet, Nitara, Ashrah, Sareena, Frost, Kira and Khameleon return.

Instead of people wanting Tremor, Aqua and or Hydro...why not bring someone in like....Argus? He would be a great addition to the roster and the story.
I think Kiefer Sutherland is most-likely Argus.

Of the main list posted, out of the male characters....I'd like to see Drahmin return.

I definitely want Sareena in more than anything.

MKD had interesting new characters, but their styles were either reused from MKDA or boring / half-assed.
Personally I willing to give a second chance to all MK characters. Even...Kobra.

Also, I would love to see Tanya back, I like all the Edenian characters, but how relevant is she at this point? (I guess I can say that about all the other chapters on this list as well aside from Shinnok because of his 2011 cameo) Edenia is not unmerged from Outworld at this point. So there's no need for an Edenian ambassador, so no reason Tanya should be around to help Shinnok invade Edenia.

I posed this question before, what was Tanya doing for the past 10,000 years Edenia has been merged with Outworld? We know what all the other Edenian chapters were doing.

She'll clearly have a rewritten storyline, which is all the more reason for her to return.

Funny how quite a few liked the idea of Khrome before hanky claimed the idea. It's a wonder how one person can ruin so much.

Here's the characters I hope will return, and a short explanation to why and how they fit in:



SAREENA
At this point of the story, Quan Chi is at his highest point. He and Shinnok are about to invade the realms with the Brotherhood of the Shadows, and part of that is Sareena. Both Subbies are under Quan Chi's command, so there could be some interesting connections made there.



REIKO
Also part of the Brotherhood of Shadows, we still have yet to see how he became part of that and why he wants Shao Kahn's helmet and possibly throne. Seeing as Shao Kahn has died permanently, Reiko now has a chance to reach for the throne of Outworld, though it would mean to betray his masters Shinnok and Quan Chi, and he might have to fight against Mileena and others formerly loyal to Shao Kahn... or maybe strike a deal with them and help them fight against Shinnok.



TANYA
Since Edenia was never freed from Outworld, I would assume that Tanya is still in Outworld. There are multiple paths she can take - either helping Shinnok and Quan Chi to the throne of Outworld, or ally herself with Reiko to assure a place as queen should he succeed in taking the throne. Both Reiko and Tanya have both be proven to be quite intelligent individuals. so an alliance between the two of them would be a smart choice... of course, due to her nature, Tanya would later betray Reiko and take the throne for herself.



ASHRAH
Longing for freedom from the Brotherhood of Shadows, Ashrah will eventually find the kriss sword Datusha which lies dormant some place in the Netherrealms. As Shinnok and Quan Chi are focusing on taking over the realms, I could easily imagine Ashrah as joining forces with Raiden and the surviving Earthrealmers against the Brotherhood.



BO'RAI CHO
As Shao Kahn has fallen and most of the Earthrealmers as well, both Outworld and Earthrealm are weakened and defenseless against Shinnok's forces. Raiden would of course seek all the aid he can, and seeing as Bo'Rai Cho is Liu Kang's former mentor, he'd be one of them. He could also be the connection Raiden could use to maybe even join forces with the Outworldians against Shinnok.



FUJIN
Depending on your perspective of the situation, Raiden's battle against Shao Kahn could be seen as a success... or a failure. I could imagine someone like Fujin would see Raiden as a failure, having been responsible for so many losses of the Earthrealm warriors, and thus seek to take his place. Maybe he would start out aiding Raiden against Shinnok's forces, but along the way he might see Raiden as too weak to fight this fight and wants to step in instead.



NITARA
Since Shao Kahn is no longer in charge, Nitara has all the freedom in the world to find the orb that binds her realm of Vaeternus and use it to free it from the rest of Outworld. However, she would most likely be entangled into the war between Shinnok's forces and the others somehow, being forced to act to ensure her realm won't be invaded once more. And then she might bump into Ashrah with the Datusha, thus a new rivalry will start from there.

...

Then there are people like Kai, who won't be getting his shaolin training from Liu Kang, since he's dead. However, he could still get a role as part of Earthrealm's defenders.

Havik could easily be a background character, not actively a part of the war, but pulling some strings from behind the scenes, still securing him a place as a playable character.

And on the other side Hotaru would stand, as the realms are being very imbalanced in turn of chaos, so he steps in to make sure order will be maintained, either as part of Shinnok's forces or Raiden's defenders.

Skarlet and Rain would both be on Outworld's side, while Kenshi will aid Raiden, of course.

That rivalry was getting extremely boring and tired, and both characters were getting stale, getting rid of it was the best decision in the game.

Scorpion is boring, tired and stale... He's still there.

Jade as well, and she's still there. As long as they keep improving, it's OK, it'll never be perfect.

Unlike Scorpion though, Jade is improving, and so was the rivalry between Kitana and Mileena.

Ummm what? I didn't know you liked Jade, keep dreaming.
Anyway, i agree/dissagree, Jade got a bit better with her Tanya rivalry, Kitana/Mileena rivalry was not improving however, Mileena did improve a lot in Deception where Kitana was not present, but Kitana's storyline stalled since MK4/G.

My version of Khrome is more unique than the statue.
