i love charams, so i am a lil upset it is only being used has a variation side thing, instead of someone's main weopon. but still good to see it finally in a mk game.

Kung Jin is awesome, hopefully he'll stick around for the longest time, was never interested in the off-springs and hoped they'd leave forever after this game, but Kung Jin changed my mind.

Awesome character, I really hope his personality shines in the story mode. Bojutsu is an awesome variation and looks to be a lot of fun.

I don't like him too much either. His looks are off IMO compared to the other characters, and his playstyle looks like they threw too much shit on the same item. It's a bow (too primal looking for a Shaolin) with a lower extension to be used as a melee weapon, making it irregular (which even if the lower part isn't part of the bow, will affect the shot as tension won't be spread regularly and the way the lower part will comb is different), and then also some kind of magic dragon head on the other side that is also featured on his moves. It looks like the weapon itself is more interesting than him, really where the fuck do you find that kind of primal swiss knife bowlike weapon?? It has too much thrown into it and then he also shoots a chakram like the ultra bow wasn't enough? Identity crisis much?

I would've prefered if the bow was used for shooting like Nightwolf, maybe with some trick or utility shots (with Cyrax out, a net arrow would've been great) instead of making it an unbelievable weapon. Kung Lao is more than his hat, Mileena more than her sais, Kitana more than her fans... Kung Jin looks like he is the weird dressing guy that holds some ultra rare weapon that can do anything.

Edit: I would've also prefered his bo style on a playable Jade. Considering Kung Jin has the same staff propeled kick than Kitana imitating Jade, most of those moves woulwould've looked great on Jade.

Guess that was inevitable.

-Kung Jing Flying Kick is not even a Flying kick, Is an Bow impulsed kick that covers less range and even has anti air overhead properties.
-Tanya Split kick is not a proyectile evade overhead, Nitara is the one that has the same move.
-Nightwolf proyectile cant even go low or air. But because he uses a Bow and said the Word Ancestors he is now a nightwolf ripoff??

better than Takeda IMO. still, both him and takeda are so basic. generic asian characters that we get on every fighting game.

I kinda dislike him aswell, but after watching the videos over and over again i might give him a chance. we have to wait till the game drops and we'll see.

I really liked his gameplay. I saw some small clips of him and was kinda meh... but once I watched the full stream, I thought he looked great. I did think he war our "Jarek" at first though.

The irony is that Takeda looks like one of the three coolest new characters, the other two being Jaqui and Erron Black. I also happen to like Cassie and Kotal as well.

I like Kung Kin a lot. His Bojutsu variation is currently in my top 5 overall for the game.

I like Takeda too, but if we're playing the unoriginal game, his Shirai Ryu variation apes Scorpion a lot, one of his specials looks a lot like a fist version of Sareena's kick special in Armageddon and the plasma swords look a wee bit like a certain Tekunin leader's weapons.

That said, all of this stuff is still uniquely Takeda's, just as Kung Jin's stuff is uniquely his. I think they're both great characters. Among the best new ones IMO.
