Back on topic, reflecting back on it last night, that Kombat Kast was such a waste of an hour. They easily could've posted those example vids to Vine and just done a social media blitz for the patch and saved the Kombat Kast for something more substantial.

I think we should all avoid the instigator and just go back being friends. And that instigator knows who he is and should stop seeing how their behavior is nothing more but laughable and got him a reputation that is quite known even off this site. It's pathetic but hey, I'm a passionate guy, let's just you know... ignore him from now on and go back kicking each other's asses with these new buffs and changes, shall we?

Yeah. I have no idea why they really did a kombat kast for this. They could've just issued the patch notes.

The fact that they were doing a kast led me to think the changes would be much bigger.

I'm not sure if we are intentionally on the same page or if that was about the most coincidental post in obscure hint/hunch history :)

So anyway,

I want Sindel, Baraka, Rain and Fujin to step out from the shadows in a trailer identical to the last Kombat Pack. And a big Story Pack marquee appears or something. Then I want all four to look to their left and the camera pans over and Sareena, Li Mei, Havik and Reiko step forward. And Kombat Pack 2 appears. Or someone else, I don't really care who. I'm still playing MKX, just keep the characters coming.

So, essentially you want 8 characters? Yeah, I'd have absolutely no complaint with that what-so-ever.

In all honesty, I'd probably buy 8 more DLC packs. Doesn't even have to be all characters, I'd take anything. More fatalities, brutalities, stages, whatever. I take a lot of lengthy breaks to keep the game fresh but every time I come back to it, I still enjoy the hell out of it.

... A character having a throw that deals out 32% damage.

I really don't see why they wouldn't want to pump out as many as they possibly could over time. We have three- four years (at least) until the next game and a pack of hungry fans(and casuals) who are dying for more DLC characters- make use of that. Hell, it's barely been six months, I'd like to see this game supported with DLC for at least 1 solid year. So another 8 more characters, specifically the ones you've mentioned, are ideal as just about all 8 are the most requested. If that trailer happened just as you suggested I think everyone, including myself, would go bonkers.

I genuinely feel sorry for anybody who may live in Florida. If it gets too windy, they might lose power and miss out on all the action this week. But then again, they could have to deal with flood issues, too.

So we've clearly got hints towards Sektor and Fujin.

Sektor being in instead of Cyrax is definitely an odd choice, all things considered(community support, competitive support, and story potential...). So if that's indeed the case, it's a bit hit and miss for me personally, and without Cyrax I'll likely never have a reason to get back into this game unfortunately. lol They just better not give Sektor a "Cyrax" variation, because that'd just make things worse, IMO.

That's actually my worse fear of a cyborg showing up in an MK game with variations. The whole hybird thing sounds like an atrocious idea. (No offense to anyone who likes it lol) Alternatively, it would actually work wonders if they ever did Khameleon, though.

That's either some bullshit info or one of the more idiotic decisions coming from NRS.

Yeah, no offense to Sektor, or his fans, because I do like Sektor and have since MK3...but he was a head on a table in story mode, he wasn't as popular in the competitive scene in MK9, you generally don't see people asking for Sektor as much as you do for Cyrax, and we have absolutely no idea what Cyrax is even up to. Not a single mention in story. Ed also posted that picture of Cyrax running late or whatever back before the game came out, which one would think is an indication he isn't making the initial roster, but he'd be potential DLC. I didn't see many hints for Sektor at all.

So it'd definitely be an odd choice, and it'd be another choice that makes me question Netherrealm's roster picks. For me, there's about 8 characters that can make the Kombat Pack worth getting, and potentially save this roster. Fujin, Cyrax, Smoke, Sareena, Li Mei, Havik, Reiko, and maybe Bo and Frost. If the 4 aren't consisting of some combination of those, I really don't have any interest, even if 2 of them make it. The only exception for me personally, would be Cyrax, and that's obviously because he's my favorite, and I have been up in arms at his complete exclusion form the game, including story.

Rain should have been initial roster, so I would be genuinely annoyed if he is paid DLC twice in a row after they said they wouldn't do that. If he is free, OK, but I still maintain this was his chance to be on the main roster. Him as an add on doesn't do it for me.

Baraka needs to sit out a game. I like the character, but he's been in every game since MK:D.

Sindel, Kabal, and other story NPC characters just don't sound very exciting IMO.

I know Sindel's not super popular, but if they did her right she could be the great zoning character everyone's been begging for in this game. Her broad concept (banshee screams, prehensile hair, flight tricks) really lends itself to the three-variation system, as well.

What was the hint implying Sektor? I missed that.

Casselman and Kenshi Master both hinted at what one could take as Sektor. He's Casselman's favorite, and both were tossing around "Ketchup".

Oh, so it's a hint from these guys rather than from NRS. OK. No offense to them, at all, but I'm always wary of people on forums with an 'inside scoop'.
