In a short few hours NetherRealm Studios will go live with the eighth episode of their Mortal Kombat X Kombat Kast via Twitch. Be with us to discuss all the highs and lows as you stream it right here and on the forum!

This instalment will spotlight Mortal Kombat X Mobile - the free-to-play app coming to iOS and Android in April. The game will feature kard kollecting kombat and unlock additional material for consoles and PC. You can also expect more character spotlights during the live stream, which you can watch and discuss right here on Mortal Kombat Online when it kicks off at 3PM CST!

I assume we're going to get Jax and Jacqui.

is Kenshi the only one that hasn't been officially shown in gameplay except for mobile pictures?! Maybe they'll follow up on that, show him in the gameplay then continue on to the console?

Well I care about the mobile version and so does a lot of people. Then again, it's essentialy Injustice and WWE Immortals with a MKX skin, so there's only so much they can say.

Hopefully, they'll show Jax, Jacqui, Sonya and Kenshi today. Those are the last four characters excluding the unknown unlockable character after completing story mode, right? We already know Sonya and Kenshi are in the game so they may as well just show them off. I also hope we get MKX Mobile sometime next week.

Here's hoping I can actually play the damned mobile game. My iTouch is like 4 years old and still only runs iOS6. lol I'm not the best when it comes to keeping my tech upgraded.

If it's anything like Injustice it'll be a grind heavy game. It starts cool enough until you realize you cannot beat the game with the low-rated characters(characters, by costumes, are rated bronze, silver and gold) and then it's just grinding to hope to get gold card characters(packs you buy are random) then hopefully get the same card at least 5 times(they stack up to make your character stronger).

I beat Injustice without cheating, so it's possible. It's just tedious. But by the time you have 3 gold characters at level 2 or 3, you can at least get to the last level (each level consists of like 8 fights), so you get money faster. I beat the game with only one Level 5 Gold Character(Black Adam Regime) on my team that also had Batman Insurgency and they're both considered some of the lowest tier gold characters.

Anyway, with Goro being shown on Saturday and 4 characters left, I think we're getting 2 today and 2 next week just to even things out. Or Sonya, Jax and Jacqui today, and Kenshi on his own for some reason?

Why hasn't Kenshi been officially announced yet? This is weird.

It is storming here so I may or may not get to watch it live. I hope the power doesn't go out. I know they are probably going to show Jax and Jacqui today along with the mobile version talk.
