I am a fan of Tremor. Bring him on Ed Boon.

Honest to god, I didn't support Tremor for MK9, but for some crazy reason I like the idea for MK10. I just feel like having an extra Black Dragon around would add a touch more to their faction, for this game with such an emphasis on factions. And since pretty much all the existing black dragon options suck anyway... Why not give him a shot? It's been ages since we got a new ninja. It'd be fun.

Now that said, if he isn't already in the base game (which is likely) I doubt any petition would change that this late in development. BUT... I think it gives him a real shot at DLC.

NRS actually seems to listen in these situations. They listened when fan demand wanted Chameleon, Meat & Motaro in Armageddon. They listened when Rain and Kenshi were getting the most support for DLC in MK9, as well as some of the injustice DLC.

Keep up the demand and he stands a real chance.

I don't mind Tremor being in. He wouldn't be in the story mode but his bio could have him doing some job for Kano in Outworld.

To this day, Special Forces is the only MK game that I've yet to play. So I've always been at a bit of a loss with Tremor. For the longest time, I didn't know where the hell this guy stemmed from so I thought he was just a fan creation.

However, the ninja whore in me is telling me to sign away and I'll be glad I did in the end.

One more can't hurt, right?

Seriously though, when we get down to the nitty-gritty, I do NOT want them to prioritize him over Fujin, Reiko, Shujinko, Nitara, Drahmin, Shinnok, Onaga, Tanya, Bo' Rai Cho, Ashrah and Havik.

Give me at least 3 of them (Bo, Fujin, and Shinnok preferably), and I'll glady #FeelTheTremor.

All of my yes. They could do so many sick variations for Tremor especially if they make him a ninja that can manipulate earth. Any character with the ability to control any element would have insane variations. So I hope he makes DLC.

This is pretty cool, and even cooler that Ed Boon seemed impressed by it. I really hope Tremor makes it into MKX.

I'm all for it. He'd be a fun DLC in the vein of Skarlet, lets just hope he gets a less generic story though.

If they're revamped in the 2D engine they might as well be brand new characters vaguely familiar to their original incarnations.

It's whiny shit like this that makes me kinda like Shangdel for the great Trilogy purge of 2011.

The most central characters were Liu Kang and Raiden. But Liu Kang's time as the standard asian kung-fu hero is over with and Raiden's slipping into a fun new kind of character named "BlunderGod". He's worse than Reptile, Sheeva and Baraka's "jobber status" because he's actively getting shat on by not only Quan-Chi and Kano but his own allies and friends. Kung Lao won't even answer his calls.

But the faces of the franchise over time will always be Scorpion and Sub-Zero, Oh and Raiden too I suppose.

Well more people talk about the scenes with Reptile, Sub-Zero and Scorpion than the final boss fight with Shang and Liu.

I signed the petition. I'm not particularly a fan of Tremor. But I am a fan of the expanded MK universe. If there was a petition for Quinn, I would've signed it. If there was a petition for Belokk I would've signed it. Hell, if there was a petition for Karbac I would've signed it. Why? I want to see what NRS does with old characters, either previously playable or not. I think there is one single exception to this, and it's Kira. That concept can just get thrown right the hell out. Oh wait, also Mokap.

Anyway, the final roster of the game is already set in stone. Tremor won't be replacing anybody in the main storyline. So calm down with that, naysayers.

Tremor's short backstory lays a lot of groundwork. Ties to both the Lin Keui and the Black Dragon. Both groups could use more representation. Especially the Black Dragon, who suffers from trite like Jarek, Kobra, and Kira as playable representatives. That's downright laughable. All three of them were clone characters with no storyline. Any of them being brought back would be equivalent to a new character being introduced, and being that none of them were aesthetically very unique either, it really wouldn't be all that exciting. Tremor being a ninja means he'd sell as DLC. I'm personally bored to death by the fan-obsession with ninjas, but I can hardly blame anybody for it. Before fan demand had any influence on the game, we had every ninja we can play as today sans Skarlet. The ninja obsession was Midway's own doing.

I'm personally far more excited to see other original characters. Besides Ferra/Tor, all of them excite me, but Ferra/Tor's design is so unique, I'm still glad they've been introduced. I'd rather Ferra/Tor than rolling the dice with a random 3D-era character, just because I'd hate to see Taven or Darrius or Kobra or Frost take the place of such a unique character, both visually and gameplay-wise.

Tremor, though, already has two points in his favor over a lot of those 3D-era characters. Firstly, he has backstory. Secondly, it would be almost impossible for Tremor to be a clone. Nobody else controls earth. The only overlap would be with Jax, who isn't even necessarily going to be in this game. And plenty of other characters have shared a single special attack and still been substantially different. For example, Nightwolf and Rain both had a lightning strike attack. Did they play remotely similar in MK9? No. Hell, even their lightning strikes worked differently, from a competitive stand-point.

The reason everybody wants Tremor is because Tremor practically writes himself. Even an idiot could write a pretty decent Tremor storyline and make up some cool specials. And if an idiot could do that, NRS can do at least marginally better. I'd like to see where they could take it.

To be fair the scenes with Reptile and Sub-Zero feature Liu Kang kicking some serious ass.

This is why MK fans blow my mind. 20+ years of character development, progressive story telling and features...and all the fans care about is getting a dumb, boring brown ninja from the worst MK licensed product ever created into the game. Because he's a ninja. And that's all.

I hope he IS in the game, and he gets brutally killed in the opening cinematic by Mokap. 4000+ idiots.

Give a rock a bandana, name him skeet skeet and label him as a ninja.

If they're gona make him, I imagine they'll keep the story in tact that he was once Lin Kuei. I hope they take it a step further and say that he was Bi-Han's partner. I know it's random, but it will give him just alil bit more depth. Kuai-Lang had Smoke, Sektor had Cyrax, Bi-Han is lacking someone.

Also, the most obvious reason for defection would be to escape automation.

IDK, I kinda liked him being affiliated with the Black Dragon more.

But we know he defected before MKI, so I doubt it had to do with the automation.
