I'm torn, because part of me is like "let's get the new characters over with," but given that MK9 didn't even bother giving some of the roster official reveals, it may be best to deliver some of the classics early.

Personally I think we will get a returning character. Something tells me it will be a female as well. Honestly? I think we will get a glimpse at Mileena, But personally I'd be really happy if they confirmed Reptile, Kabal or Baraka.

I'm betting money on an MK4 character. I am 100% sure they aren't gonna reveal a returning MK9 character coz they would want to show what they can do with some of the sucky 3D-era-characters in the new engine.
If that is indeed the case, I would guess they are gonna show Fujin/Kai/Shinnok. Maybe Tanya, but not so sure since they already revealed 3 ladies and I'd say they are gonna have about 6 females in the game in total. Perhaps 7 counting Ferra. So there's plenty of time for that.

They should alternante characters when revealing them.. Between classic ones and new ones.

Most of the reveals for MK9 and Injustice came in pairs. So I'm thinking we'll get 2 at the next event and 2 at SDCC. Giving us 10 total (probably 5 new, 5 returnees) to satisfy us for awhile. I'm also in the camp that thinks it'll be Raiden and an MK4 character. Probably Tanya since she's the heaviest rumored.

I was just gonna say, I don't they'll only be releasing 1 character at a time. But, then again, you never know with Netherrealm. Still I'm hoping they go with pairs, and even though I'm excited for new characters, it would be smarter for them to show at least one returning character. Probably one from MK2011 and one from the MK4 through Deception era.

Odds are it'll be another returning character. They pay attention to stuff the fanbase picks up on. Betting on Raiden, Johnny or Sonya, or Tanya.

I hope they do not reveal a ninja next because the backlash will be intense by the strong minded "anti-ninja" community. People will be whining and complaining about how their fav character didn't get in to make room for a ninja bla bla bla.

Hide the ninjas til the end so we dont have "anti-ninja" fans ruining the chance that we get more than three ninja's back in this game. Like in MK4 they may opt out of finalizing ninjas as characters if the community backlashes hard enough (and they will..) The sound of boo's always out weighs the sound of applaud.

Even though I would love it if Ermac or Reptile was announced, I agree completely. I would rather patiently wait in silence for my favourite character to be announced so that I didn't drown in the shit-storm that would soon commence from their reveal.

If I were to guess, I would say Raidan. He is the protaganist of the whole series.
