I love cryomancer Sub-Zero but I was really impressed with Kung Jin. He didn't seem that interesting in the stream but he's a lot of fun.

As said earlier, Once Reptile, Always Reptile. I love his Tournament look!
However, my secondaries are Shinnok and Takeda. Both are very fun.

Not saying she's one of favorites, but damn I had fun playing with Sonya in story mode.
So far I really like D'Vorah, Erron Black and Thunder God Raiden. In all honesty it's really hard to chose a favorite because I've enjoy every character so far.

Sub Zero and Kitana are my best characters so far.

I'm finding myself really liking D'Vorah.

Sonya Blade number one, covert ops is her best variation and best Sonya to date. Fatalities suck though so brutalities have been my preferred finishers.
Characters who are also climbing my faves list are
Kano, he's just so much better and fun in this game and all three of his variations are great.
Sub Zero, nothing feels better than taking an ice clone and shattering it on.an opponent.
Mileena, she feels a little stilted in this game and her roll seems slower but her ex moves are flashy and she's still fun, for me her piercing variation's low Sai is something I feel is imperative to her game play.
Kenshi he's always been cool!
New characters with potential
Jaquie and Erron Black

Still Mileena always will be. She kicks ass in this game.
Ya she does, her back 2, 1 mix up is ridiculous to deal with. So glad they gave her a fast low poke combo. It can be comboed to just about anything and is very hard to deal with. It's almost like Quan Chi's low shenanigans in mk9.Still Mileena always will be. She kicks ass in this game.

Pumped Up Jax.
The pumped up Gotcha Grab is satisfying every single time I do it.

Mournful Kitana. Those Jade specials do some nice damage, especially when enhanced.
I like Shinnok as well, but I'm disappointed with some of the moves he steals in his Impostor variation. For a number of characters, he steals their rush/charge move. He already has a shoulder charge. I might use Necromancer instead.

I can honestly say, which I am very surprised about, that so far there isn't any character I dislike so far except for Liu Kang. Even characters like Jax & Sonya I was never very fond of I somewhat enjoy in MKX. They've matured ;)

I still have the rest of the cast to try out but my favorites so far are Sub-Zero, Kung Lao, Kenshi, and Takeda.

Agreed. I played a fair bit of Jade and Kitana in MK9 so to have them rolled into one variation is a really nice bonus.
Answering the topic question, I've really liked everyone I've played with so far. Sub-Zero will always be my favourite character but I'm loving Jacqui (only tried Full-Auto yet), Cassie and D'Vorah.

Kung Jin.
I always play as Sub-Zero first because he's my favorite character. Usually doesn't work out well for me since he has such a defensive style, and that's not how I like to play. However, the Cryomancer variation adds just a little more offense to his game, which is really cool. He's got a pretty good array of basic combos that string together nicely.
I haven't had a chance to play much. I'm only about 75% through story mode, and have only played the towers a couple of times, but these characters have been a lot of fun:
Kenshi - Balanced
Kung Jin
Sonya
The random stuff that happens like being challenged by an Outworld assassin is adding new levels of fun.
