Unfortunately, when the D'Vorah matches were played, they wasn't serious about these matches. Sorry. :(

I know :( they played him once in the beginning and didn't mention him after that.

I love how in the variation that only uses Torr, Terra will hop on his back when he does the X-Ray, the intro, and the fatality. Also I think its cool that she runs around in the back cheering for Torr lol

Not shutting up during a single intro?

Puggles the Netherbat made it worth it for me.
But yeah I thought the stream was pretty informative. I love that they broke down Kotal's Totems because that was definitely something I was wondering about. I am really looking forward to the next one.

Yeah, I was let down by that too. Because one of them said "Do you want to rewind that back?" and I'm sitting here like "PLEASE! PLEASE DO A SERIOUS MATCH!". I wanted to see a "professional" Cassie and D'Vorah match. Nope! They continued on with different characters. :(

Yeah, people were all like "No reveal!?!?11!".

I suspect the thing with Cassie is they had to reveal her right away because her existence is the whole POINT of story mode in a nutshell (you can't talk about how it's a game where characters pass the torch to their kids if you don't show that anybody had a kid), but she wasn't done...and they're probably still not done with Cassie's model even after the face refinements, that's why they show so little of her.
She still has really weird body proportions, like her legs are too short for her torso or something.

I loved the stream, can't wait to see more of these types of live streams from them. Glad they explained Kotal Kahn's totems, I've been wondering about those for months

Nothing to wow over. Saw all that in a past stream, same shit..different day.

The stream was meh IMO, Glad to see gameplay of characters i already seen like months ago.

Awaiting for a YT of this stream, because Kotal Kahn was explained more, or at least one of his Variation (Sun God). And more variation info was something I wanted for months.
But seriously, as much as people hate seeing Scorpion vs Sub-Zero matches, those matches were sick. Scorpion is scary.

For those that missed it, this is what I got out of it:
They officially showed the full Scorpion and Quan Chi fatalities, and explained Kotal's three variations and Quan Chi's Sorcerer variation. They also showed Venomous D'Vorah, which I believe is a first, and said that stage-interactables use up stamina bar and can be meter-burned (?).
Only new announcement is that there will be another stream in December and more next year leading up to the release. They said they'll show off special things in the streams.
On Quan Chi's Sorcerer variation: There are three spells. You must stand in the spell zone for it to take effect. Purple zone enhances special attacks, green zone gives Quan one hit of armor, red zone is placed on opponent and increases chip damage against him/her.
Kotal's blood totems: You can only summon one totem at a time. One boosts his damage output (and it stacks with the blood sacrifice special). One boosts defense, making Kotal take less damage. And the last one is a risk/reward thing: If you don't get hit the entire time it's up, you gain all the damage you inflicted on the opponent while the totem was up.
Sun God Kotal: He has a unique command grab. Every time you perform it, it boosts his "sun power level", of which there are a maximum of three levels, indicated by how bright his yellow tattoos glow. The higher your level, the more damage done by the command grab. Finally, you can reset to level 0 to boost health or meter.
Nothing new on Cassie. Her American Way thing is still a mystery.
Looks like I was right on the money.

A bit down on them talking over intro dialogues.
I was specially interested on seeing Sub-Zero unbreakable as it's the variation I knew the least:
- The mask looks slightly better, but I would still reduce the white a bit.
- The guy playing him stopped trying to use his variation specific moves after explaining them during the rest of the match, that shows how useful they are (and when he was tryng to show the parry he messed up a lot).
- The parry is so easily avoided, any attack from behind ignores it (attacks from behind don't ignore regular blocks) and hitting low makes you difficult to combo (somehow he grabbed him, but I think they will fix that as that grab missed the body by a loooooot).
- The Ice Armor looks like it last quite a bit, and it reduces damage, but I'm not sure if it gives first hit armor like Quan Chi aura or not. That would be key for this variation as first hit armor is great to avoid punishment. He got in a long combo so I couldn't see well if the first hit already stunned him or not.
The streaming gave us some info about the totems and Quan's auras and all of that, but apart from those moves, there wasn't too much we didn't know (we knew about the name Blanche since long ago).
My english isn't good enough to tell what the intro dialogues were saying with the devs talking over it, I hope someone manages to get some phrases from there.

Glad I wasn't the only one who's been noticing something a little 'off' about her model.
Really wish they'd have actually given us some interesting intro combinations; Quan/Scorpion, Scorpion/Raiden, Sub/Raiden, Cassie/Raiden, Quan/Kotal.... really interested to see if they hint at possible storylines.

The only way to get out of the corners when you're trapped is an interactable that burns meter, the rest of them don't.

Awesome.
More info and better understanding of Kotal Kahn was all I wanted for a long time. And better explanation of Quan Chi's Sorcerer Variation too. So I'm happy with this stream.
I'm sorry that the Story kids didn't get what they want even though the devs said they would shut the hell up during intros. Wow.
