That's rather homo-erotic. XD

Hope Johnny get his elbow uppercut and his flip kick.

Remember, variations change details of the costume, so you could instantly tell, by just looking at the character, what variations you or your opponent have, without looking at the lifebar.
Different shadows, which appear only during special moves do not let instantly recognize variation.

We will know which variation we have when we select the character.

Cassie already has a Variation called Hollywood... which is a name that would be obvious for Johnny to have.
If Johnny's MK9 Arcade ending turns out to be canon, him going to Seido to train, then that would mean Cassie grew up without knowing her father... and that'd be odd since Cassie behaves alot like Johnny - something she wouldn't do if he was away for the most part of her life.
I'm sure NRS will come up with some excuse of sorts though.

Or they will just ignore the fact that it doesn't make sense. Like they did with most stuff in MK9 story.

ZING! XD
But yeah, I hope they've learnt not to do so. They have expressed in some interviews that MKX will be more serious and that they went overboard with some stuff in MK9, so it does sound like they have learnt their lesson.

I guess that's cool lol doesn't really make a difference to me since I don't like or dislike Johnny. For me, he is one of those characters that is just kind of...there.

Yeah but we don't know when exactly Cassie was born. She could've been born after he completed his training, during his training, or before his training. If he even went to Seido to train at all.

Well, you also have to take in consideration that Sonya and Johnny are humans and are probably in their late 20's / early 30's in MK9... So they need to get Cassie somewhat shortly after MK9, unless they are going to be very old parents.
And if Johnny indeed goes to Seido to train, I'm pretty sure he will be there 10+ years. Mastering your martial arts training, especially when already being an adult, takes a long time. I doubt he would be able to do it in just 5 years or less.
But again, NRS will come up with some excuse.

No disrespect to Johnny or his fans though because I know a lot of people feel the same way about some of the characters I like. I actually have a lot of respect for Cage since he has been here since MK1, I just personally never took a liking to him, that's all.

There's also the possibility Raiden called upon Johnny to help out again. Which would mean Johnny didn't get to finish his training.

That could indeed be a possibility... but would the Seidans allow that? Their strict ways of Order would probably not approve of Johnny suddenly stopping his training and then leave the Orderrealm.
... It could actually give Hotaru a reason to be back in the game, hunting down Johnny and sentence him to death. I'd like that.

Would be sweet if Johnny told Raiden to take a f'n hike, lol

I don't mind Cage. He's pretty alright and I love playing as him in MK9. Sonya can just leave though. Such a boring character.

What part of that sentence is still eluding you?
Detail changes make it so you or anyone else could immediately tell what variation character is using. Changes with special moves are not immediately apparent, since you need to do them in the game before you will see how they have been changed.
I hope this'll clear any misconceptions.

I hear what you are saying, but, we'll still know what variation the opponent will have when selected on the selection screen.

And still in all cases, it was immediately obvious which variation character uses, by just looking at them in the battle, which will not be the case with Cage's shadows for the reasons stated above.
Differences in costumes created so you or anyone else could immediately see what variation character uses without looking at the select screen or lifebar. Changing color of shadows is completely against this idea as there are not present at the screen at all times and are not part of the costume.
What so hard to understand about that!?

In all seriousness I'm more interested in Baraka or a descandent of Baraka being hinted at than Johnny Cage being confirmed.
