I can see the boss being a female, since almost noone expects it.

I'm hoping for Jade as a regular character.

However, I wouldn't rule her out as a boss either. Imagine the woman in her ending did take over and she just went on a killing rampage trying to fix the I.

I wouldn't want Jade to be a boss character. It would be rather random to just throw her in as a boss character out of nowhere. She could still be possessed and have that agenda without being a boss though.

Oh I agree. It would be out of left field for her to be a boss. However, that's what Boon is hinting at. It's going to shock us. THAT would shock us.

It might be Kai....after learning about the death of Liu Kang and Kung Lao and Raiden's part in both Kai will become the leader of the Shaolin and reform them into a group that does not trust Raiden or the elder gods. He will spend years plotting and then later emerge as the new villain bent on taking over the realms and ruling them as he sees fit.

(This probably gets ignored anyway, but what the heck.)


Ed Boon said somewhere (can't remember where) that the boss of Mortal Kombat will be an old Character returning, and it will be surpising. So Shao Kahn, Shinnock and Onago will probably NOT be it.

Who do you wish to be the endboss from the old rosters and why? Or do you want an entirely new one?

My own thoughts are on Rain, Raiden, Corrupted Lui Kang or Reiko.

But my hopes are on Havik lord of Chaos and destruction, with an alternative look to make him more imposing and bad-ass.

Jade, or the entity that possessed her in her arcade ending.

It would be a big surprise if it is Blaze but I think it may be Shinnok or Quan Chi.

I would love to find more about that entity, but I fear it was just another non-saying, non-cannon ending that will never be explained.

I've heard that an army of Meats will be the endboss.

Shinnok, Shao Kahn and Onaga are the sub-bosses and they are slaves to the Meat Army.

Meat would be sweet as the main boss. However I want the main boss to be female. Sindel, Sheeva or Tanya would be perfect. Jade would be interesting as well (via her MK9 ending if it was to be cannon).

Overall it could be Onaga, but I hope not!
