She probably had some plotting of her own, being in a position of power in the House of Shao Kahn, alongside Kitana, Jade, Shang Tsung, Rain, Ermac, Reiko and to a lesser extent Baraka and Reptile. She's not totally dedicated to Shinnok, as her ending implies.

Suchin wasn't killed because Daegon didn't have a reason to retaliate for Kenshi's actions. So Takeda grew up a normal kid? I dunno

Kung Jin was straight and hadn't gotten sick with the "gay for sales" virus.

The big question is why they weren't present at the battle of Armageddon where the greatest kombatants in all the realms gathered?
Sure, they hadn't been invented yet, but I would like some explanation. Maybe they had all died because of their plotting and aspirations to rise to power. It wouldn't make a difference anyway, cause everyone in that timeline is dead.

And I don't care if anyone wants it to happen, if NRS says that parallel timeline still exists then I'm done with this franchise. It would be beyond stupid. How can Raiden create an entire new universe with billions of galaxies and gazillions of stars out of nowhere? I can deal with time travel as long as it doesn't involve parallel universes. This stupid idea has gone way out of hand in B- sci-fi movies and games that people have actually started to question scientists about it!

D'Vorah was apparently kidnapping/trafficking monks in the Wu Shi Academy raid during the second tournament.

Ferra/Torr seemed to be aimlessly wandering the Tarkatan Wastes.

Erron Black was working for Shang Tsung. This bit still highly intrigues me.

How do we even know if Jacqui wasn't around in the original trilogy as a kid with Kung Jin and Takeda? Why do you think so much emphasis is placed on Cassie Cage. Is it confirmed Jacqui and Cassie are the same age? Jax was dead for some time and I doubt NRS would include a teenager.

Jax never settled down in the original timeline. In the rebooted timestream, Jax retired from SF and became a farmer after he was restored by Raiden.

In the old timeline, Jax never died and therefore never left Special Forces, meaning Jacqui was never born.

Ignoring the ridiculousness of the"virus" or "for sales" portions of this statement, there is almost definitely nothing in the timeline that "made" him gay. Not Lao's death, not whatever else, nothing. Dude's just gay.

- Debatable if Takeda and Kung Jin ever existed solely because we don't know if Suchin ever hooked up with Kenshi in the original timeline and in that timeline Kung Lao was the last living descendant of The Great Kung Lao.

- Erron Black likely was just a pawn for Shang Tsung, nobody special.

- Ferra / Torr had no special place because they weren't involved with Kotal Kahn and likely were just normal citizens of Outworld.

- D'Vorah and Kotal Kahn were likely followers and pawns of Shao Kahn but not high ranking officials in his court, just the usual goons under Shao Kahn's orders.

I still wanna know who he was hired to kill. Probably a nobody, but since I like Shang, I'd like to know who he wanted dead that he felt he couldn't take care of himself.

Actually kinda says a lot about Black's capabilities.

It's shown in the MKX comic that D'Vorah joined Quan Chi and began to serve Lord Shinnok at the end of the whole Reiko Accords, which would not have happened in the original timeline, so she was simply working for Kahn and had nothing to do with Shinnok. Kotal would have been the same I guess, but I can't see why they wouldn't have been at Armageddon anyways in hindsight, considering how powerful Kotal is.

Considering it's Shang we're talking about, I could see him using Erron as someone to track down and eliminate potential opponents in the MK tournaments, to thin the herd and potentially increase Shang's chance at winning.

You're probably right. I just wish there was more to it lol. I guess they just wanted it to be as simple as they stated it. A way for them to explain his age and somewhat retcon him into the OT.

It would be cool to know what they were up to. Problem is that we'll never get the answers. Majority of the cast would probably not even return excluding Cassie, Jacqui, Kung Jin, and Takeda. I feel like it would be a waste to continue getting to know these characters if they are going to end up tossed like how most newbies are.

Not necessarily. If we ever get a storyline that they hinted at that deals with alternate dimensions, we may. It's still pretty up in the air and we honestly have no idea what they have planned, nor will we for like 3ish years. There are several directions they could take.

- Alt. dimensions / Jade thing
- Raiden / Kotal ending - New tournament
- Something involved Netherrealm
- Dragon King
- Deadly Alliance
- Something entirely new
- Some of these combined

So who honestly knows at this point.
