Johhny Cage- An overall boring storyline. "Me make movie, me compete in mortal kombat tournament". Plus a few of his special moves were copied so he should just stay dead.

Hsu Hao- Basically also boring storyline. Nothing making him unique. And he didn't look cool either (i don't dig the cybernetic heart thing).

Kobra- Just plain sucked balls. I hope Kira killed him.

Dairou- The most boring charcter ever made. Didn't look cool, didn't have a cool story line, and his moves looked weird.

Darrius- See above.

Hotaru- See above.

Tanya- yea yea yea, you betray people. so what. It means you can't work on your own. Buh by.

Jarek- He got one game. If he didn't come back in MKDA or MKD he's done.

Dragon King- Just not as appealing as Shao Kahn as a boss. Does not deserve to return.

Also all joke characters (eg. Mokap, Meat).

Characters I want to return but revamped

Rain- He should be made over with new story, look and moves.

Kai- see above.

Kira- She could be cool. I liked her look in MKD, but she needs a better storyline. Maybe give Kabal one more game, then have her assasinate him and take over black dragon.

Reiko- could work for Noob Saibot's demon army. But he needs more originality (i.e. special moves, new look)

Jax - lost interest in him after MK3.
Mavado - he never really was interesting IMO.
Jarek - it's already been said before, he's just a Kano ripoff.
Reiko - unless he gets revamped, he should stay gone IMO.
Nitara - a vampire character is an interesting concept, but she didn't cut it for me.
Frost - she's dead, and one character with ice power is enough IMO.
Sonya - I lost interest in her after seeing her in MKDA.
Bo Rai Cho - I don't hate him, I'm just tired of seeing him.
Liu Kang - I don't mind if he returns, maybe as a spiritual mentor to the mortals or something, but not a fighter.
Raiden - I feel the same way about him as I do about Bo Rai Cho.

I thought about a few other characters, but then I started thinking about their storyline potential and decided to give them a chance.

There's a lot of characters that I don't like so this might be kind of long.

Lui Kang:He's boring,dead, and I'm tired of him always being the one to save the world

Johnny Cage:Boring story, to self-absorbed,to plane.

Sonya:Boring character and story.The whole "I want to beat the Black Dragon and Red Dragon clans" thing is BORING!

Jax:Same as Sonya.

Kano:We get it.He's a backstabber and hates the Special Forces and the Red Dragon.

Mokap:He's the second worst character I think the MK crew has thought of (Next to Stryker).

All the people from the Realms of Chaos and Order need to go.They don't fit in with everyone else.They just don't like each other.

Stryker:I HATE HIM! He's BORING!His story SUCKS!He doesn't seem to fit in MK.

Hsu Hao:All he did was take orders from Mavado.

Jarek:Boring.Rip off of Kano.

Kira:Boring.Rip off of Sonya (Who alos needs to go).

Kobra:Boring.

Drahimin and Moloch:They're boring.If their alliance with Shang Stung is broken there's no point in them being there.

Personally, I don't "hate" any of the old characters enough to not wanna see them return. I think if crappy characters like Styker and Kai were remade with a new cool look, storyline, and moves they could be alright. With that said I will list a few characters that need to be revamped.

And although I love him as a character, I think Shao Kahn should rest (or hide) peacefully forever. His MKD story - creating a clone - was a lame excuse to have him in NGC, so I'd rather he does not return.

Liu Kang: I didn't want him to return to Deception, anyways. He came back to soon. You were like, the protector of Earthrealm is gone, what the hell are they gonna do now? I had actually gotten to respect Liu Kang, as I did not like him much in the past. He was just that stereotypical Bruce Lee character in every fighting game. Bringing him back in the next game, or even MK8 would have been more dramatic. They should have made it so the good guys start getting their asses kicked, then Liu comes back and saves them all.

Johnny Cage: He was alright in the first MK. But his story started getting old. Fast. It's the same thing with him every game. When is it gonna end? He just feels odd in the MK universe compared to everyone else. Boring, bland, and very unoriginal. They should kill him off. Is he really that much of a fan favorite? I thought he was gone for good in Deception until I watched Ermac's ending. I was soooooo disappointed.

Stryker: Another odd character in the MK universe. Not quite as bad as Johnny Cage, but he could reach that level someday. Too normal and unimaginative. Why'd they even put him in? Seemed liked they were running low on ideas around MK3. There was a whole load of crappy characters around then. I think it might be happen now too...

Nightwolf: Another stereotype. The Native American guy, of course involved with wolves. Why does he even dress like he lives in the past. If feel they're making fun of Native Americans here by dressing him like that. Otherwise, he is also kinda bland and boring too. Not much going on for him, and his role in Deception wasn't even that big. Suprised to see him return.

Mokap: Hopefully this was a one time thing here. Him and Johnny Cage die on the set of one of his movies. That would be hilarious...

Kobra: Can you get anymore of a ripoff here? Took everything from past characters in MK, and can anyone say SF? This is a Ken ripoff very badly. But maybe this was intended purposely by Midway? They are rivals of the SF series, so maybe they were making fun of them there, and killing him off. Or perhaps they were low on ideas.

Ashrah - I say this time and time again. I love Ashrah. I love playing as her in MK:D, but I think that now that she has left the Netherealm, she doesn't have much of a story.

Baraka - I think Mileena should take it alone from here. She has more of a story. Baraka's ugly, and he is difficult to fight with. I really don't want to see him back. Chances are that we'll see him again though because practically the whole Tarkatan race looks exactly like him. Go figure.

Dairou - I thought Dairou would be a pretty cool character when I saw his concept in MK:DA. After seeing him in MK:D, you'd think that Midway didn't put much thought into him at all! I mean, I know he had already been thought up for MK:DA, so when I found out he was going to appear in MK:D, I was pretty excited because I assumed Midway would've had to have spent more time on him than the other new characters. Boy, was I wrong. Now I know why he didn't make the cut in the first place.

Drahmin - He was a difficult character to work with. I didn't hate him, but by no means did I like him. He was the hardest character to unlock in MK:DA, and I don't see why. There really wasn't anything great about him other than the fact he was rotting and flies danced around him.

Kobra - He was a filler, and everyone knows it. He looks so much like Ken Masters as everyone has already mentioned. I mean, he's not horrible. I just don't think he belongs in MK. If SF was made in 3-D...I give you Ken.

Liu Kang - No more! I would really love to see Kung Lao take over Liu Kang's role as Earth's chosen warrior for a while. I'm tired of seeing Liu Kang time and time again. Killing Liu Kang in MK:DA probably helped the game rather than hurt it.

Meat - He was a joke character in MK 4, but for some reason, Drahmin reminded me of him. Maybe Drahmin is Meat? It doesn't matter, I don't want to see either of them in the future.

Mokap - For some reason, I pictured him as a new Stryker minus the gun. He really doesn't belong. Midway probably just thought it would be cute to put Carlos Pesina in the game.

Raiden - I think Raiden is getting old. He looks over Earthrealm. He is the thunder god. We already know what he's capable of. Fujin needs a shot. It's his turn to be great. I think Raiden is stealing Fujin's thunder (no pun intended).

Sheeva - Personal protector of Queen Sindel? I think Sindel has proven that she is quite capable of taking care of herself. She doesn't need Sheeva. Neither does Mortal Kombat.

Shujinko - New generation Liu Kang my ass! I have hated Liu Kang since MK 4, but I like him so much more than Shujinko. Shujinko is at the bottom of the list. I despise him. I want Raiden to kill him off so I never have to see his wrinkley face again! He was a waste of time to unlock, his life was a complete waste as all he did was run around looking for items he really had no reason to look for in the first place, and for that, I don't want to see him again.

Smoke - You don't like Sub-Zero anymore! We know! Smoke seems to be the type of character, like Mileena, who just doesn't let go! Either get a new plot and stop latching onto people...or be taken out and replaced by Sektor or Cyrax since they're more independent than Smoke is.

Stryker - I don't know what styles he would have. He was more of a weapon fighter in MK 3. He was also a character who I could get easy hits off of because every blocked special move left him vulnerable. I didn't have fun playing as him, so I don't want to see him back.

Dairou: Never really liked him.

Havik: Same as Dairou, he did absolutely nothing for me, and I really didn't like his moves that much.

Hotaru: Really boring. Cheap moves. I hope he's in two pieces thanks to Kenshi.

Sheeva: Been here and gone, and it should stay that way.

Tanya: Yes Tanya, pleeeeeeease, do something but absolutely nothing all at the same time as you've always done.

Lui Kang: Boring, stupid, and gay. Ok he won the first tournament. yada yada yada. Ok now he can die once and for all.
Johnny Cage: A big movie star. Who cares? He sux at fighting.
Sheeva: Very unpopular. Waste of time and money.
Shang Shung: He was the boss in one game. So why put him in any more of these games. The only kool thing about him is the morphing. Other than that he sux.
Jax: Ohh I hate this guy. He just plain sux.
Sonya: She sux too.
Reptile: Ok I liked him in the first 3 MK games, but now hes a fuckin loser.
Rain: Same as Sheeva.
Kano: He sux. Liked him in MK1 and MK3 but know hes just a waste of time.
Tanya: Never liked her.
And finally
Ermac: Ok He was good in UMK3 but see he was a glitch origanally, so why make him a character. UMK3 should have been his only game and then they should have left him alone.

And there you go with the perfect example of a thoughtless evaluation of fighters, based on personal agendfas concerning characters and NOT on the facts wether the character would serve tio improve the MK storyline.

Rain: has no use if he comes back with a storyline based on how he helps Edenia. He is a slave to his own fate. He needs drastic improve-ments.

Kintaro: same here, though if the present Goro would turn out to be a disguised shokan pretending to be Goro to gain the shokan leadership towards Kahn, that would be well meant and devised.

Liu Kang: ONLY if he can leave the shaolin xhampion of the Earth role and move to somjething more drastic and unheard.

He's a fat guy, Old, Has a beard... Bad, But not horrible. But then he's slow, A story that leaves me sleeping, Farts and Pukes!!! No- No, I can't stand him!!!

His look wasn't so bad, And his story was at least better than Bo' Rai cho's. But his special moves are horrible... And if he grabs me ONE more time, I'm burning MK:DA!!!

Jax:
His story has been almost exactly the same since MK2. Then they ruined his look in MK:DA (loved the new arms). And they replaced his energy blast with Curtis Strker's machine gun... That sucks. But you know what's worst? Him yell'n "AAAAWWW YEAH!!!!" every time he uses it!!!

Johnny:
Except for the whole "Dead" thing coming back to help his friends, His story is almost exactly the same since MK. But it was revealed that he was never died, So now he's boring again. I hated his 1st costume in MK:DA. The most interesting thing about him were the after-images when he did his Shadow Kick... But now it's just a green blurr, So he's down the toilet now.

Kai:
A guy from Detroit goes off to China to become a Shaolin Monk? His story is just as corny as Liu Kang's, But whatever. At least his look was better than Liu Kang's, And he didn't whine when fighting. But before Hsu Hao and Mavado showed up, I thought his special moves were the most pathetic.

Liu Kang:
I have never liked Liu Kang. He's always been the invincible hero of MK... That's reserved for Scorpion, Baby!! He whines every time he does a special move, And he has had the same look since MK2. His story has also been exactly the same since MK1. But he died... Finally! But then he came back from the dead to help his friends... Oh, So they gave Johnny Cage's story to Liu Kang, I see...

Mokap:
Hey, He could have been a cool character IF he wasn't wearing a wet-suite covered in light bulbs!!!

Movado:
I liked his story, And I liked his look. But he had a mis-matching of fighting styles, And the Hookswords belong to Kabal!! Oh, And his special moves were even more pathetic than Hsu Hao's.

Sonya:
Her story has been almost exactly the same since MK1. Her face was ugly in MK:DA, But I loved the outfits. The Mist Kick was sweet, And the Poison Mist was great... But where the hell were her Sonic Rings?!

Tanya:
I love the look, I love the moves. But if her story stays "I'm going to backstab everyone I see, And love doing it", I'll never really like her.

Sheeva - Ugly, pointless, annoying Shokan. We've got Goro instead.

Kai - Who is this guy again? Has the lamest ending.
Raiden: "And here you go Kai a staff with my signature on it."
Kai: "Thanks Raiden. I'm your biggest fan!" LOL.

Jarek - He should stay dead. Just as boring as Kai.

Tanya - I actually like her in Deception but I think Jade will kill her off.

Shujinko - Luckily for him I have mastered him but I think Raiden will kill him.

Mokap - MK were smoking pot when they created this loser.

Mavado - I don't own MK: DA (But I've seen the storyline and other bits and pieces.) and I alrady hate this guy. All he does is kill people. First Kano, then Kenshi and Kabal. I hope Kabal smashed him.

Hsu Hao - Who is this guy aagain? Boring! Should stay dead.

Motaro - Pissed me off to the core in UMK3 so I hope he stays dead.

Drahmin - Who is this guy again? Ugly and tried to kill Scorpion off. Shouldn't return.

Moloch - Same as Drahmin.

Kobra - Cheesy prick that pissed the shit out of me once in chess mode. Only there to piss Street Fighter fans off. (Do you think there will be a Scorpion rip off in the next SF game?)

Kira - I hate her and her lame terrorist story. If you were dressed up as a man in Afganistan then how did she hide her boobs? Surely there would be a huge lump on her chest. Let her kill Kobra and then let Kabal kill her off.

Kano - He should stay dead.

Onaga - Another cheesy boss that can really annoy me. "No Kicking" Well then STOP KICKING ME!

Sindel - I used to like her but I don't like her moves, attire and fatalities in this game. She could have been way better.

Nightwolf - I hate him. Too cheesy and looks poofy in MK3.

Darrius - Who is this guy again? Oh yes he and his loser pal Dairou are on a space mission to eradice a realm full of people who dress up like insects. LOL Get out!

Dairou - And who is Darrius' bithch? He is the lieutenant hired by Darrius to go out and kill the big bug LOL. I hope Hotaru kills him.

Kenshi - I can't play him for shit and I hate his story line. If he does kill Hotaru then I will really hate my personal enemy Mavado for putting Kenshi in that position to be with Sub-Zero and for trying to Kill Kabal. Bitches!

Kung Lao - I hope he is better in Shaolin Monks because I really hated him in MK3 he was so irritating.

Liu Kang - How could I forget the most irritating character in MK. I thought he was dead but then I unlocked him and I got so pissed off.
