lol at some people still thinking she maybe isnt in it.
Being the original face for the Special Forces faction and being spotted in the challenge tower in her salute stance isnt enough? It cant be more obvious.
Jax and Sonya are not confirmed but we already know they gonna be playable.

Main points have been made: she's certainly not going to be wearing that cape as part of her costume; that also doesn't quite look like a cape behind the boot. In every thread that has Sonya, there's always shit happening.

Her boot is kinda the same as Cassie's in MKX, in Chapter 4 you can see it (slightly, but not so well designed), when she's talking to Goodman, also the part she kicks D'Vorah and breaks her jaw, you can perfectly see it a bit, it's a normal military boot.
So we can have a safe bet it isn't Sonya not at all.

If Sonya is in, I hope it's just for story mode & she doesn't take up a character slot. Same for cage and jax. I hate all of them & don't want those slots wasted.

Human Smoke would take up a character slot as well. It's just to bad we are getting Jax (undead-ish).
