Well it's official. Sub-Zero is coming back for all those hardcore fans! :B

And Scorpion and Sub-Zero's new looks look badass!

And we're definitely going to have X-rays back. And the way Sub-Zero interacts with his environment such as freezing a branch and using it to beat the shit out of Scorpion not to mention freezing him entirely and smashing him across a tree could possibly mean using various environmental factors to beat the crap out of your opponent in this game.

Plus the Sub-Zero sword could it possibly mean weapon select just like in MKDA and MKD and MKA are making a comeback?

AND TWO SPEAR CHAINS! I was wondering if Scorpion would upgrade his badass signature move anytime!

I enjoyed it. They both looked much better in terms of design.

The fighting was fast faced and superb. Overall, good job Boon and team.

Sub-Zero looked slightly robotic compared to Scorpion. Maybe he's still a cyborg, just without the helmet.

Or maybe I'm reading way too deep into it and he's just a human again, because fuck continuity. EDIT : And maybe I should update my icon and sig to include MK2011 Rain. Tells you how long it was since I lasted posted.

Scorpion looks a bit like Assassin's Creed. Really dig the new look.

I wouldn't take anything plot-related away from this trailer, personally. This is just a wankfest designed to show off everyone's two favorite meatsacks slapping each other around. I'll wait until E3 until I start speculating about story.

Hopefully we'll see some gameplay at E3.

What are people talking about? The trailer was effin amazing! They certainly won't have that kind of music in the game that was just a trailer. If the graphics look half as good as they do in this video I'll be creaming my pants

The music is not what I would associate with MKX. The trailer for me was kinda meh. Nothing Mortal Kombat at all about that Stage :(

I go that vibe too from the trailer. I think it might just be the inspiration they took for both costume. They have a medieval inspiration to them.

I'm hoping that is as far is it goes, but it definitely could be interesting if the game turned out to be a prequel and actually followed both Sub-Zero and Scorpion's ancestors. It would give them bigger opportunity to actually introduce a ton of new characters.

I'm thinking Shinnok/Quanchi reanimates Subzero, Scorpion has betrayed quanchi so subzero is brought back and sent after him.

I don't think any of that was gameplay, it had the look of alot of the other MK CGI trailers where the fighters look chunky and move stiffly.
If it was then those graphics are very impressive!

Agreed. I think they may have tastefully teased us. I hope at E3 we get a look at more characters.

I managed to block out his voice when I watched it, but it just does not fit with MK. If they wanted to put some music by a big name over it, get some fuckin metal or some shit. Born of Osiris, All That Remains, anything would be better than some rapper.

Nobody should be disappointed or whatever by this. There's really nothing to make of it, it's just an announcement trailer. Let everybody know it's coming out, show the 2 fan favorites to catch everyone's attention. That's all.

We can see the new designs for Sub and Scorpion and Sub is apparently human, and obviously X-Rays are returning. Other than that, can't make much of it, but we're not supposed to. This trailer wasn't for hardcore fans or anything, we need to understand that. It was a cool trailer.

Trailers are rarely in line with a Game [or whatever media] continuity. This Human Sub-zero look is probably how he'll end up at the end of the story mode though [As long as Smoke doesn't go back to being a Cyborg]

I loved the trailer AND the music, and I'm not even a Wiz Khalifa fan. I'm pretty sure that music is just for the trailer anyway. I also love Sub-Zero and Scorpion's new look. I was hoping they'd stay similar to Scropion's Injustice costume and I was REALLY hoping they'd change Sub-Zero's look. I really disliked his primary costume in MK9. I only played in it when I selected it by accident. Hoping to see some gameplay at E3!

It's a type of metal, and they are big names. (where did I come off as trying to be a music elitist?) That's besides the point, all I'm saying is I'd rather listen to a sweet guitar riff instead. It's no big deal anything, like I've said I loved the trailer. It's only the first of many and I'm excited for E3.
