I really just cant see how this game can go forward now with what they did in mkx...

Go back to the original timeline and continue with the original story. Make the outcome of the Armageddon battle different, meaning not everyone but Kahn dies. Maybe Kahn wins and the merger of Earth and Outworld starts. If I had more time right now I'd think of a more in-depth story for the game.

This way we can at least forget about MKX's storyline for one game. Then after continuing the original storyline for one game, go back to the reboot storyline so we can see the next adventure of Johnny Cage and friends.

Although I have no faith at this point in NRS to make a compelling story.

neither do i they are a fucking joke....and i say that as a fan not a hater as these boon lovers would say..its tragic to see a series with such great potential and a game that could have been amazing suck just to cater to some basment dwelling neck beard fuck who jacks off to kitana....

You mean cater to some fans that was upset half the roster died. Maybe if some of them weren't complaining, the roster that died in MK 9 would of stayed dead. Get over it, some fans just want to see their favorites in the game and not dead
