You can basically reskin Ermac into a shadow priest

I don't know if it's the always enabled levitation but the Ermac in this iteration of Mortal Kombat screams shadow priest. Even his tattered aesthetics gives off a shadow priest vibe. If I had to take a guess, NRS was once considering adding a shadow priest to the playable roster in MKX but has since decided to merge that concept with Ermac. I wouldn't be surprised if his alt is that of a shadow priest and is retconned with the story. No doubt the PC version will mod him into one too.

I hope not... Someone else, I forget who, mentioned new characters being retooled into familiar faces as well such as another Saurian for Reptile. I sometimes thought that Ferra/Torr could be modified into Drahmin/Moloch until we see the latter as one of Quan's toys. I just hope these two received a promotion from jobber along with other potential characters.

I was thinking something similar the other night, he kind of gives off a shadow priest vibe to me with the floating animation and the hood, but I still dig it.

Well Ermac is technially a ninja and Ninjas are known for their disguises. it would be interesting if there was a shout out to that and Mk1 screen of Error Maco

I can't believe that didn't occur to me, that Ermac's gameplay could suit a Shadow Priest. Ermac should definitely have a SP alt.

Not gonna lie. It would be badass if ermacs current costume and moves were rescinded to be that of a shadow priest.

All you'd have to change is the color of his clothes, black out his face, and make his green energy attacks dark-purplish-black.

Shang tsung is the leader of shadow priest and he has all their powers and more.

I think that ultimateryu was talking about aesthics and mods. And hell yes, this Ermac screams shadow priest all the way.

I hope he will have at least one ninja costume like deception. His redesign in that game was the Best ever, followed by Stryker in mk9.

did they ever specify what kind of general ermac actually is for shao?
