If were talking throughout all of MK series:
I loved kung Lao in DA, but since then he's been "meh" to me.
Kai in MK4 was awesome, in Armageddon not so much.
If just talking about MK9 to MKX then just Kung Lao(not digging old man lao)

Sonja, never really cared about her, I still don't hate her, but her fans constantly defending and giving her more credit and importance than she ever had in the story, ever, made me realize how bland, boring and overrated her character really is. Her main contribution was in MK1 by being only female in the game, that's about it, after that, the devs never really knew what to do with her but she's a classic and has boobs so that pretty much guarantees a big fanbase.

I use to like Drahmin when Deadly Alliance first came out, now when I look at him I realize the only thing I ever liked about him was his mask. He looks like a big naked zombie diaper idiot.
About Me
I will rock you.

Sindel and Shang Tsung.

Shang Tsung. Once he lost the ability to morph into any character in the game at will, he wasn't fun anymore. Flinging fireballs all day just doesn't excite me.

Which is what makes him cool, bro.

Pretty much the entire roster from MK1. They've all become incredibly stale from overexposure. They need something new and fresh to happen to them.

Raiden.
He dun FUCKED UP.

None. I tend to find qualities I like, and those usually don't go away.

No one really. All my opinions on the characters have been the same for a while now. Those that i love i still love, those that are not my favorite haven't gotten any better or worse. I don't usually use the word "Hate" when it comes to describing certain Mortal Kombat characters even those that are considered awful. For example seeing Hsu Hao fully detailed in comic book form made me enjoy him as an MK character even though he was only their to be killed. To be perfectly honest i thought he looked awesome.

Liu Kang. I was into the whole messiah archetype before, but he's become very flat in recent installments and pretty much serves others' plots in the story.
His whole character homage to Bruce Lee is his only redeeming quality for me.

This.
Although Quan Chi, Raiden, and JC irk me as of late. Definitely don't hate them though.

I liked sub-zero as both Bi-Han and Kuai Liang throught the original timeline. I liked Bi-Han in MK9 but I will forever feel different about the Sub-Zero character after the character was fucked over in cyborg form by Kuai.
About Me
... here's your Subzero, now plain zero.

SZ from MK1 to MK 2011 use to be favorite when compared with Scorpion, but now I feel like he the most boring character in the MK universe; he has no new interesting moves, costumes or possible contributions to the story.
I might dislike Kano if he does not attack or sell out Quan Chi because that would classify him as a pointless goon, who does not care for his Earthrealm Black Dragon territory which is being threatened by the Netherrealm, Kabal, his reputation or getting revenge on the souls under Quan Chi's dominion.
I also dislike Shao Kahn, if it is true that he has been added as a living component to Ermac's soul mix.

Scorpion. I dislike his over-exposure but i certainly don't hate. Just praying that he gets some character development in X.
I don't get that Baraka argument at all and I've seen it a lot, though I agree when people say he needs to be different from the others. The fact Tarkatans are always part of the story, you would think NRS would find a way to develop Baraka.Give him the horns, some type of mark or clothing to make him stand out as the general of all Tarkatans.
With regards to the thread, I used to like Shao Kahn, Jax, Shang Tsung, Raiden, Reptile, Sektor / Cyrax & Kano. As the series progressed, Shang Tsung lost his mojo like the poster stated with regards to his soul abilities. Jax development stopped with the metal arms and his military look was milked to death (so happy with his new look though in MKX).
The robots started out interesting, but when they became humans with metal suits, I lost interest. Shao Kahn in the 2d era was just a menace and as a boss in MK3 he already became kind of stale, his later comebacks and more human look made me dislike him very much and still does.
Kano started out an Asian character, fierce looking with the knife as his weapon. As soon as the 3D era started, he became a big ugly buffoon with more and more accessories and away from his roots. With MKX though, I feel the whole English fim adaption suits him and his moves look better than ever.
Reptile has gone from interesting looking to straight up idiotic and a whipping boy with a bird like look. With MKX though, he seems back better than ever and will finally be more than a lackey.
Lasty, Raiden also suffered from the extravagant clothing accessories that actually made him worse looking and his moves got away from his character. Now, they finally nailed his look and the electricity weapon is in full effect!
So I would say only the robots, Shao Kahn and Shang Tsung remain characters I now dislike, hate is a strong word. I am glad they are not in MKX, though Shang Tsung might appear and they could re-invent him, I feel the others should stay away from future instalments. Quan Chi is a worthy replacement of Shang Tsung though.
