MK isn't the "ass of jokes now days", anyone who thinks that is dumb or simply ignorant given the fact of the sales of previous MKs.

Then you obviously don't play fighting games or know what the sales of Mortal Kombat titles are.

If you really want to know, even though people are disgusted with what MK has brought us these past few years, it is still one of the biggest selling fighting game to date, being second to Super Smash Bros.

People are still hooked on what is MK, and will always be hooked. This is just like Pokemon. You may say Pokemon is for little kids, but in the back of your mind, you are iching to find out what new pokemon exists, and what they do.

YOU ARE HOOKED. And that's how they make they're money.

These last few MK games were kind of bad. Actually, they were pretty awful. I played a demo of Virtua Fighter at Gamestop for like two minutes, and thought it was way better than MKA. MK is probably the worst fighter today. Hopefully MKvDCU will be amazing.

Nahh, DBZ is and SSBB although fun isn't taken that seriously...

Don't get me wrong, Brawl is fun but there's infinites and gameplay wise it's not as good as Melee is. Most high level SSBB players feel this way.

For MK, well MKD=Bad MKA=good because it's playable and fun actually, MKD was just horrible gameplay wise.

The financially and critically successful video game adaptation of the most famous and reknown Shonen manga/anime series is not taken seriously. NO flaw in logic there. No Sirree. And I recall you defending MKD to the end four years hence. Not that I did not have done the same, untill :::: explained some of the stuff that were going on.

Alright, I am going use UMK3 in this topic as its the MK universes top game, gameplay-wise and balance-wise.

Gameplay-wise, yes, many other fighters have surpassed UMK3 in many ways, but that does not necessarily mean that the gameplay is bad in anyway, in fact, its still played in tournaments (not major) to this day. Sure there are a few broken aspects of it, but 99% of them are unusable in competitive play.

Balance-wise, well, its one of the more balanced games in general, its more balanced then most of the other fighting games out there, if you look at games like SSF2 which contains the unbalanced character Akuma compared to Kabal then you will know its balanced.

That is all.

If your implying that UMK3 is more balanced then SSF2 then im going to have to disagree with you, strongly.

The definition of UMK3 is not good gameplay. It is actually: least broken of the MK saga. Never did MK paralel the mechanics of a Street Fighter game.

Roge's right, UMK3 is more balanced then SSF II there's a thread on it somewhere on the umk3 site of UMK3 and SF II players explaining why but despite who believes it or not, it is true. Roge's not bsing...

I never defended MKD's gameplay....I might have defended other elements such as presentation, mini games, online or story and/or revamped classics such as Kabal, Ermac, Sindel etc but the gameplay has always been broken in MKD. I might have at first but like you said, initially everyone just about loved MKD. A similar thing happened with SC3.....
